Almost every female member of my family has this disorder, except me. If you need to know anything, I'm a fountain of knowledge. All of the women in my family are on at least one prescription medication for it, some of them as many as 4 different ones. They all manage it pretty well, and swear that if they didn't have their meds they'd never be able to.

That isn't as pricey as I thought you were going to say! We accidentally ripped our spout off the tub the week after we moved into this house (it is very old... plus I was about 32 weeks pregnant and leaned on it trying to get up off the floor after helping Winter with her hair in the bathtub LOL)
and it cost us a TON. Glad to hear it is fixed that quickly :)

I'm meeting with some SCers today for lunch - can't wait! Again, if anyone's in downtown Toronto & free for lunch, 12:15 at Timmy's at 26 Dundas (across from Dundas Square or whatever they're calling it these days).

BG - glad your plumbing woes weren't as bad as you feared. That's always such a pain. My parents have been dealing with a leak in the bathroom - it was finally discovered last week to be a crack in the pipes 2 floors up. My poor Mom was taking a bath & ended up with a shower when the water came through the ceiling - the only good thing was that the leak was over the tub (how lucky is that!).

Rose - are you still chasing Boo in that other thread? How's work going?

Ricki - have you decided on the topic for your essay? There was an article the other day about an art installation in a Toronto gallery about some of the BC victims.

Racefan - I'm having the same luck this summer. Every time I want to go out somewhere, I just about drown getting there.


:lolsign: - I'm listening to news while typing & have tears rolling from my eyes. It seems a girl tried to rob someone wearing a skimpy bikini - I guess she thought if they were busy looking at, um, other parts, no one would notice her face. Her mistake was trying to rob an old lady. Bikini girl claimed she had a gun, but since there wasn't a gun in sight, the old lady screamed for help. Bikini girl got grabbed by the police & was sent off to jail. I guess bikini girl's mistake was in not robbing an old man. He'd probably hand his money over happily. :lolsign:

Andit - your parents are very lucky that the leak happened in the tub. I wish we only had that kind of luck.

Well, it was a quiet day here today. DH went to see about getting the wrap for the tub today, but no one had it in stock :(. So, now I have to take a run into Oshawa tomorrow to pick one up. Oh, well. At least I have a babysitter right now.

Speaking of which, she is driving me mental, so if I seem a little bitter when I'm on here, I apologize.

Actually, they had 2 leaks. The one over the tub was fine, but it took a day to get the plumber in to check it. In the meantime, my mother went to lift the seat on the toilet & noticed ripples in the water. She looked up to see drops of water coming from the ceiling. They had to use an umbrella in the bathroom for a day. :P

& family's whole purpose in life is to drive you mental. I've found the easiest way to deal with them is to let them have their way. If she starts complaining about the way you're cutting vegetables, excuse yourself and tell her you're going off to take a nap. & yes, I've had the This is not how I taught you to chop vegetables incident with my Mom. :)

Off to the other end of the dockyard, where I work - a ship getting ready to leave in about 30 minutes and they are taking my dad for his committal of ashes ceremony while they are at sea so I want to be on the jetty as they leave to say my final goodbye to him :bawling:
