Oooooh sounds interesting Dark colors are definately in! My mom painted her kitchen red and white when we were younger! The cupboards and kitchen counters were all red and the walls were white...it looked "clean" and "cute" Reminded me of that when you mentioned it

Thats close to what i am doing, but am doing counter black, was also thinking of blacka nd white tile floor, but we'll see

i got the ceiling painted..waiting for hubbys approval before i paint son's room..it's a greenish blue..

might go wild with pale yellow mouldings..but not sure if i'm that brave yet..
