I try to tell her that even her brother who is in gr 11 isn't friends with the same as elementary school I think it just becomes overwhelming which right now it is due to it being school work and friends that is all she can see right now is how much life sucks
She will be going to gr 9 so I am praying highschool will be better for her there is about 5 different schools that go to this highschool so a whole different batch of people she can hopefully clique with one!
Thanks Patty I know I just get very stressed out and understand you saying you don't want Kevin to be a stastistic of dropping out for I don't want Kayla to be like her mother was at her age will Pm lol

She's right. What scares me is that they don't "fail" kids anymore.
BF's son is actually illiterate and is in Gr6. He still can only read a picture book and is ALWAYS asking me to read him words from his text books, and i mean words that he should be able to read.
He can't write to save his life. He should have been failed twice over. Last year he only passed astronomy and that being with a 61% yet they still put him in Gr6.
Once he gets to HS where they do fail you I think he'll be there for a while if he doesn't drop out.
The education system in Qc is laughable. The teachers are jaded and the principles are disconnected. The school boards are unfortunately more about politics than the kids.
As parents, you're left holding holding the pieces of a broken child all too often and it's heartbreaking because most times it could be avoided.

That is so sad

Hope you can get things resolved with the VP Kim, sometimes just them being aware is all it takes
Does she do any after school activities, I made better 'real' friends at my swim club than any school stuff

lol no you don't! i found a baby squirrel once. It fell out of it's nest and mommy lft him to die.
After about a week it started to get around on it's own and 3 weeks after that he destroyed the house!
I brought him to a rehab center when they taught him to survive in the wild.

Swiffer decided last night she didn't like the plant she's been growling at all month and just ripped it out of the pot and ate it.
STOOPID STOOPID cat. If it weren't for the fact I'd NEVER hear the end of it, I'd get rid of her.
She's growling at the baby now. Makes me REALLY nervous. She touches him ONCE and I'm making her into slippers!
