If you are not happy with the way it was handled you should.I am thinking about calling back and complaining about how he handled the call.

We made a major purchase at Shoppers Health Care before Christmas and I thought I would add more info to our Optimum knowledge base!!!
Purchases made at Shoppers Health Care do not count as base points toward Optimum Plus...they are awarded as bonus points and can take up to five business days to appear in your account (or longer if the staff member who enters the points is on holidays!!)....
Kind of disappointing about the Plus status...but points are points...

so today I was at SDM and asked to purchase a 25 GC and then buy some stuff. the cashier told me I wouldnt get any points for making the purchases on my GC. I read on here that you do. (Needless to say I didnt purchase the card and just bought some childrens tylenol on sale and used my coupons.)
How do I explain that without sounding rude?

You do get points for purchasing a SDM GC...someone on this forum just says (sorry can't remember who!!) "Just humour me"...or someone else said they just buy something small at the same time (like a yummy chocolate bar) as the GC...

Froggiestyle, You buy the GC for XX amount & they scan your Optimum card & you get regular points for that & you use the GC to buy your items & get points for that sale...
The cashier doesn't know what he/she is talking about!
I've had some tell me this & then we do it & they are amazed!
Try try again!

It seems that each cashier has their own rules.
I just bought a SGC, I got the points no problem but the cashier told me I couldn't pay with a credit card it had to be cash or debit.
