For Christmas my hubby took notice that I've been trying to coupon clip and savings hunt.

I had mentioned to himconversation that some people put their coupons in a binder. Later unbeknownst to me my husband googles and watches youtube videos on how to make a coupon binder.

Christmas morning was a complete surprise as I open a present full off goodies to make my own binder.

Now I need some help to make it LOL. Any tips would be appreciated. What kind of categories do you guys use?

Wow! It's wonderful that your husband is so supportive of your hobby! My husband's enthusiasm is far more grudging -- until he brags to someone else!

I just use a small coupon file and a small photo album for my coupons. I like to be kind of inconspicuous about it, and I can keep them both in my medium-sized purse, so I have them with me wherever I go.

I started by putting all my coupons on a table in piles that I thought made sense together. Then I gave the pile a name like: Bread, Pasta and Crackers. I use both sides of one page of a photo to hold coupons in the categories. My categories might not make sense to you. I did find that I had to subdivide some categories that got too many coupons - like: Cleaning products - laundry and Cleaning products misc. Hope that helps.

PS - Great, thoughtful, supportive, loving Christmas present! I bet he got a big hug and kiss!

What a great gift idea! My DH still tries to stand a few feet away from me when I start whipping out coupons *L* I think I saved him about $5.00 off the small load of groceries he offered to pay for today though.

I found this today as a link in an article about couponing on msn.ca. If you get really into it you could print and use these as dividers, or at least as guidance for a way to sort everything.

What a great gift idea! I'm re-doing mine more as a budget binder, with envelopes for each month of the year, I'm going to staple to the front a spreadsheet, so that I can track exactly how much I have alotted for each variable expense and how much is actually spent. Plus all my coupons in the back! I'm so excited to save

... I'm earning $5-25 Amazon.ca gift cards EVERY month, are you?

P.S. ... starting to hunt for ShoppingChannel GC's with no minimum purchase ...
