Anybody had problems entering the codes?

I tried the 18004318977 number but it's a 3 day wait for a reply. By the the kids will have drunk it and I'll be hoarding and empty carton??This thread is currently associated with: Aeroplan

If the code has been entered by someone else, your code will be subject to verification and it is a standard for them to ask you to wait for a few days but to my experience, they often contact you within 3 working days. I always have to keep the UPC and the code of the same carton (but not the whole carton) for 1 month just in case (they have suggested 1 month when I sent an email about the proof in case of verification). And yes, if you read their terms and conditions, they require you to keep proof of product and send back to them if required but I think it is ridiculous to hoard a whole stack of empty dirty cartons around just for a few points so whenever I am done with a carton, I cut out the UPC and the code at the top edge and staple them together, noting down the date when I enter the code and normally after 1 month if no problem I can just throw them out.

@MeMew you're so diligent, I do what Jim does, enter and toss! Guess I've been lucky so far.

Lol, I used to do as you do before BUT there were the times when I did enter the codes seemingly successfully but the next time I log in the site, it subjected me to verification for the codes I previously entered. Luckily that due to my laziness, I had not yet tossed the carton and could find the UPC again to submit to them as required. I also read that some persons enter their codes and then toss the cartons and some other persons pick up those cartons and enter the codes again so if there is any duplication of codes in 2 separate accounts, they will subject both account owners to verification. So I just choose a safe method

If it's like the Aero bags, the ink is very faint. Needed a kid to find it for me.

I also bought two Nestle chocolate boxes that said 10 Aeroplan miles but no PIN's inside. Phone Nestle customer service 18003874636 they send you a postage paid envelope to put the boxes inside and mail back to them then they will phone you back with 2 replacement Aeroplan PIN codes.

My account was suspended because I entered a code wrong too many times and I didn't keep proof of purchase so apparently I can't use it anymore. SO STUPID!
Sometimes the codes are blurry and you can't read them.<a href='http://www.irazoo.com/ReferedNewUser.aspx?RefBy=wakeforsoul'></a>

I had trouble with one code once. I took cell phone pics of the UPC, the front of the container and the code. I emailed them all and they credited my account with the points.
Also, before I throw any carton/box/container with any PIN on it into the recycling (i live in a building, so we have large common recycling boxes), i always black out the number with a sharpie. So if there are any other code hunters out there (like me!) they'll know that one has been used and i won't lose my points because two people entered the same code.
