That really sucks, so someone actually reached into your purse and stole your wallet, how can someone do this is terrible. Thanks for reminder I know I often get distracted when shopping, gathering coupons and watching sales that my cart is left unattended for a couple minutes. Sorry about your wallet, I hope somehow it gets returned.

Awww couponcat, I am so sorry to hear this happened to you. I am glad you thought to call all the banks and credit places to cancel your cards, but no matter, it's all the work you need to go thru now to get all your other id back. I am really sorry.

People are so brazen these days. Especially this time of year.

I'm glad they didn't get a chance to use your cards before you canceled them.

It doesn't make it any better. I always tell my hubby - I don't care if they take my money but just leave my personal belongings behind. I would feel so violated and exposed if someone stole my personal information and belongings.

I'm sorry this happened to you.

    So sorry that this happened...

Makes me angry to know that someone tried to withdraw the money!

Hopefully, they have cameras at the atm machine and be able to identify the person.

First of all I just want to say that this is NOT a lost/stolen coupon unbrag. I didn't lose any coupons so am not asking for anything. This is just a warning to my wonderful fellow SC'ers to be careful when grocery shopping and such.

So today I went grocery shopping to my local No Frills to get some Armstrong cheese and Nestea. I had my coupons and was shopping along happily. I spotted some other items that I could use coupons on so I kept opening and closing my handbag, to take out my coupons etc. I get a bit flustered when using coupons sometimes because I sometimes have to organize my coupons in the aisles etc Anyways it was PACKED today at No Frills so I think this also combined to the unhappy story.

I was at the cash and realized that I WAS MISSING MY WALLET!!!! I of course did the whole SEARCH THE GROCERY STORE/TALKED TO THE MANAGER TO REPORT LOST WALLET etc. I thought it may have been my clumsiness that I dropped my wallet etc.. I hoped that maybe I had dropped my wallet and that it wasn't intentionally taken. I wanted to believe.

I called all my companies to STOP my cards. It turns someone had attempted to withdrawal money at an ATM at a convenient store today. I never withdrawal from convenient stores nor did I step into one today.
I am so DISSAPOINTED and angry (more angry though) that these things happen and that there are people who do bad things

    Please be careful everyone.

Good you froze all your cards ..did they manage to withdraw money ?..that means your PIN might be compromised too

Its sad people do stuff like this ..but don't worry your CC companies etc will reimburse you if some fraud takes place .

Hopefully your house keys or car keys etc were not in the wallet as you might have to change your house locks ..even replacing your ID's like Health card , Drivers license , SIN card etc if they were in your wallet is a big pain

My dad once lost his wallet ( not stolen but lost ) ..his house keys & drivers license were in it , so we decided to change all the locks/keys to our house since anyone who finds the wallet with the keys & drivers license which has an address on it can easily come to your house & steal more stuff

Even the cameras in the grocery store should show who stole the wallet ..
