I live in Olds but come in to Red Deer fairly often. Our SDM isn't anything to rave about. Typically most items in the food flyer can't be found, there is next to nothing for electronics and it's just not that great of a store overall. I haven't been to either SDM in Red Deer before - wondering if anyone has a preference or could suggest which SDM has the best selection of items.

I tend to prefer the Village Mall location. It has a good selection and is a nicely sized store.

I think both have their good and bad points.Sometimes I find sale items out of stock at Village Mall Shoppers it is open 24 hrs.Shoppers Bower Mall has better clearance.Shoppers Bower Mall sometimes has ridiculous limits of 4 on some items like clearance soy milk limit of 4, Royale facial tissue $1.29 regular price limit of 4.The staff at Shoppers Village Mall is friendlier.

I prefer the Village Mall one - staff is nicer I find Coupons easier to use there, not that the mall one is bad, I just HATE finding parking at Bower, especially if the only store I want to go to is SDM.

I like them both. Village mall does have way better parking as its not attached to the Bower Mall.
The Bower Mall one has the post office. So, easy stop when I am mailing things. Yes I know. The Sobey's right beside the Village Mall Shopper's has a Post Office but sometimes I just don't want to go into another grocery store. LOL.

They both have different things that go on clearance. So worth a look at both. My best find was Brita filters (1 pack) $4.97 each. I only bought 4 and now I wish I had bought them all. Also the 32 use Tide for $3.97 - coupon off was a steal.

I use to live in Didsbury. Olds sure is big now.

Do either of them have an electronic section? I've seen other people post on here about getting electronics at SDM (game consoles, etc.)... wouldn't mind knowing about those locations with the upcoming BRD!!
