ExpiredSpread some love this Valentine's Day and sign up to be in the Smart Canucks Secret Valentine's Day Gift Exchange. Sign up begins today and will run until Thursday Jan 21st at 9:00 a.m.
Gifts MUST be sent out by Thursday, January 28th, gives you one full week to shop for your secret sc'er.
If you have been in a past exchange and your secret sc'er did not receive there gift, for whatever reasons, you WILL NOT be allowed to participate in this exchange.
If you don't think you will be able to hold up your end, please, do not sign up for the exchange.
Average cost to mail a gift is $8-$15 bucks, so don't be suprised when you go to the Post Office.
RULES:
-Minimum to spend on gift is $5.00. Please, send something that you would like to receive, don't cheap out, this is Valentine's Day.
-Sign up by Thursday Jan. 21 by 9:00 a.m.
-Gift must be sent out by Thursday Jan. 28th, so everyone should receive it by Valentine's Day.
-Must be an active SC member with a minimum of 100 posts.
-Must post in this thread that you would like to join in the exchange.
-SC admin, mods, or little old me are not responsible or liable for gifts not received, damaged, late, lost or stolen, or anything else that may arise.
-Post in this thread when you send your gift.
-Post in this thread when you receive your gift.
-If you do not hold up your end of the deal, you WILL NOT be allowed to be involved in upcoming exchanges.
-Please, nothing rude, or offensive.
-If you want to have a member in your own province, please let me know on sign up info. If possible, will do so.
-If something unfortunate arises, please pm me right away.
-This is a secret exchange, but please sign your card when you send your gift.
NEW RULE:
You must get insurance for your gift at the post office, it does cost an extra $1, but that way you will have a copy that your gift had been mailed off. This way, you may have held up your end of the deal, and CP loses the item, we will know it was not your fault and be able to still participate in other sc exchanges.
Please keep your receipt with a tracking # on it, so we can follow the gift if something happens.
The main thing here is to have fun. Please don't let your secret sc'er down. Buy something they like, and in the last couple exchange members did send gift cards, which are nice and handy, but try to put something little in with it for Valentine's (stickers, pen, handcuffs, just kidding about those). And maybe bump up the value cause your not spening the extra on postage for a parcel.
Now get out there and shop till ya drop. Have fun in the thread, post pics, little stories about past Valentine's.
I love to give, as some members on SC know, so there will be a couple suprises along the way.
Please, cut and paste the info below and pm me your info.
*Biggie*
When I ask for full addy, please remember town, province and postal code.
SC NAME:
REAL NAME:
FULL MAILING ADDY:
M/F:
AGE:
CHILDREN:
PETS:
LIKES:
DISLIKES:

Thanks so much folks, have fun with this. The rules may seem harsh, but everyone likes to receive something, and this will help out to make sure your secret sc'er gets there gift.

pick me!!!
Is there an card exchange just for kids or something, where each kid could send out a card to 3 different kids and each kid gets cards from 3 different kids? or something like that. (they don't have to be halmark cards purchased or anything...they can be hand made or just regular little valentines)Last edited by julie.leeds; Sat, Jan 16th, 2010 at 11:15 AM.

Can I be in this one, thanks
I tried to explain to Boo that I did in fact send but I think he thinks I did not from the response I got from him, unless of course I just misread his reply.

Me too, me too! It was so much fun last time! You are too awesome to organize another one!
Question about the new rule (totally not complaining just commenting!) When you ship a parcel you always get a tracking #, don't you? I've never bought insurance but my receipt from CP always has a tracking # and the agent always says to use it to track my package. Is that no longer okay?

PM'ed you my info.
I always ship packages Expedited - costs $1-$2 more, but has the insurance & tracking. I believe normal parcel mail you get tracking sent & received, but expedited you can track where its at along the way!
