went to sobeys right after work today - i was tired but pushed myself- treated ourselves to supper too
(1) meal deal chicken - 2 sides 15.99-plus free big diet coke 2litre(2.15)-free areo balls in a bag(3.79)had a free 5.00 cpn when you spend over 40.00 (printed from smart canucks) used 5.00 up in my points - so i figured supper only cost me $5.99- plus some left over potatoes parienne and chicken for work on sunday
(2) jello .69 - .50 when you buy 2= .44 cents each
(2) quaker instant oatmeal strawberry 2/5.00-1.00 cpn each= 1.50 each
(1) brisk fruit punch 12 cans 3.49-1.00-2.49 (1) kozy shack rice pudding 3.49-1.00=2.49
(1) busy bone3.99-3.00=.99
(1) yopolait asana yougurt 650g 4.29-1.00-3.29 plus bonus20 points
(1) dempsters pita snacks 2.99-1.00=1.99
Saved 10.50 in coupons plus the 5.00 printed and 5.00 from my points
plus had a coupon for points-spend $60- get 175 points
plusbase points 90 points
plus spend 60 get 3 X the points=180 points
so now i have enought to redeem for 5.00 next time too

That's great, I'm guessing Sobeys would be a lot like IGA prices here since they are owned by them. There are great deals to be had everywhere you just have to be an SCer to find them sometimes.

Good shopping! Just so you know with the points, though - the longer you let them accumulate, the more they are worth comparably... they are sneaky that way.
Yup, Patty, our Sobey's used to be Garden Market IGA, then before that, 'plain' IGA.

New to Sobeys points - do they award points on a BEFORE coupon basis?
I assume you had other items that helped you reach $60, because I think your list of items is only ~$40.
