No, Food Basics does not price match. Zellers and Walmart are the big two price matchers. The Bargain! Shop does too, but a rather limited selection of products. If FreshCo has the item in their flyer that week and it says "cheapest guaranteed", then if you find a lower price on that product, they will beat it by 1 penny.

Futureshop will price match and an additional 10% of the difference between their price and the price match as well.
Price matched a video camera once and instead of 10% of the difference they gave me a full 10% off the price match price. Very good deal.

A couple of other stores do too, but I was sticking with grocery only since the question was Food Basics
Most electronic stores want your business enough that they will even if they dont advertise it

fyi- no frills will price match, but often give you a very hard time about it, and according to the customer service won't/shouldn't match from a sister store. i had the owner of the no frills i USED to shop at tell me that its the managers/his decision if they will match a certain item
