No, no, the wand is for good use only She is going to use her fancy new wand to make tonnes of new coupons appear in the stores, to woooo all the cashiers and make them all happy when we use coupons, and when she's done waving her magic around she *might* let her beautiful daughter play with it *cough cough* Or she'll use it while playing with her daughter (me thinks this is likely the option she'll take!). :D

I have a digital SLR as well as a point and shoot and there is no comparison to which is better, BUT, the DSLR is way more expensive and the lenses are even more expensive! I keep the point and shoot in my bag but if I want to take serious photos the DSLR is definitely the way to go. I have a middle of the road lens for the DSLR that cost almost $400 but to get the next level it's at least double the cost so if you aren't ready to spend that kind of money, don't do it! It's a great hobby but it's pricey!

My daughter's father has the good ol' expensive professional camera... if I need one, I'll borrow it, muh haha. I used it on Christmas Day at his house and took a few photos and said, "I could get REALLLLLLLYYYY used to this." I love the feeling I get using it. And the photos are crisp!!
