More ranting about Costco and it's wonders.. Someone went shopping today ^.^
6lbs of lean ground beef, $10
120 Finish dishwasher packs, on sale for $15.99
I got 2, 1.5L bottles of Heinz ketchup for $7.29. We realized today, you can get a 3L can of Heinz ketchup for $5!! So, we are saving our bottles and buying that next time, unless the ketchup goes on sale.
1.5kg of Cinnamon Toast Crunch (2x.75KG bag in 1 box) - $8.69
3 x 500ML Febreeze, $10.50
Doing more shopping on Thursday ^_^ i could be in that store for hours..

I love their return policy - and I really love that they give you a 2 year warranty on TVs and computers! That's worth the price of the membership to me!

We took membership for $55 and Amex card in Dec 2010 so the Amex fee was wavied and 3% cash back for restaurants ,2% cash back upto $3000 for gasoline and many more, we thought of trying also when we took our membership they said if we are not satisfied we could cancel the membership and get the full money back . So far I think the Meat products,Dariy products, granola bar, sun rype veggie juice and nuts all had great price compared to price in retail with coupons also(sometime with coupon you save but have to wait till you get the couipon).veggie prices are high . The other thing I like about Costco is you get things that you dont see in retail store . Amex true earning that we took through Costco also will send you a coupon that you can redeem at costco for cash or to buy things. Hope this helps

correcting the second last line i wrote in the previous post. Amex will send a cheque at the end of the yr to redeem at costco for cash or membership or things bought at costco.

I just purchased meat / chicken there for the first time and the prices are not only great but the quality is fantastic. I bought stewing beef and I didn't have to do an ounce of additional trimming (as I would have to if I purchase at Loblaws or No Frills). I think I paid $11 for 5lbs of lean ground beef too. Great deal, especially if you have a freezer for the meat and a cold storage area.

My boyfriend and I have a membership. It's amazing. He is a big gym buff so he does his stocking up there..this week alone he bought 3 giant tubs of protein powder..only $20 each!! That's an insane price considering we walked into GNC and saw the SAME KIND for over $80...mind blowing. and money saving! Other than that I buy my books there, we saved $1000 on our car from being a costco member, the deals are endless!!

One thing about costco is, floor space is worth a lot to them. So when they have a product that they see is not making a decent return, they are quick to clear it out. This is when some great deals can be had. If you see an * on the price label it usually means the item will be going on clearance within the next week. They don't like having low inventory on items they don't plan on bringing back. So again great deals can be had as they usually get marked down 80-90% to clear. Just go often and keep your eye's open. We bought a $150 microwave in november for $35 and donated it to our local woman's shelter

I've had a mombership for about 15 yrs and it's addictive. If you don't start with a membership you won't know what you're missing. But, if you start going all the time and stop you wonder what 'deals' you're missing out on.
I find that the items on instant 'coupon' or rebate are the same or better price than using coupons elsewhere. There are many benifits to having a membership but like any membership you're going to pay for, you have to use it to make it worthwhile.

I forgot to add, if you're close to the border you can shop in the US Costco's too. Sometimes the deals are incredible compared to here.
eg 2 weeks ago bought HP ink packs 55$ here 79$ and they had B2G 10$ off
