How to post an avatar or signature

What I've been wondering is how to get your animated signature pic to post animated. It used to, now it doesn't (as of December). I've tried many different pics, & uploading from both a site and my computer. But I see some people do have an animated one...

Karabana, it doesn't blink for me, I use FF and tried in IE, too.

Sometimes, animated pics just don't stay animated when posted here as either avatar or siggy - I just keep trying different ones til one works!
I had a problem with my last siggy disappearing after a few weeks, and if I reposted it, same thing happened, so I just don't use that one any more.

I found these - both blinking now, give them a try.
