Hey, I was thinking of redeeming for a starbucks e-gift card...but I don't get it, how does it work? I have only ever redeemed for amazon, which is pretty straightforward. I don't really understand what an e-gift card is and how I am supposed to redeem it?!
Thanks in advance!

I have done the Starbucks thing a few times. The Starbucks e-gift card comes as a code. You get a link to the Starbucks website and from there you can print out a page. That page is treated as a gift card. You can use as is at Starbucks to buy whatever or you can transfer the amount to an existing Starbucks card and use it from there. Apparently Americans can do the transfer to their card directly on the site, Canadians need to do in store. My husband has done the transfer thing in store several times as he has a gold card and wants all transactions associated with that card. The transfer thing is a convoluted process and takes time. At one point the staff explained the process to him, but I don't remember the steps. Suggest you do it in a store when there is not a line up and if possible with an experienced staff person. The card is in US dollars and the currency is converted at the time of your transaction. A couple of times when the amount was just a few pennies short, they credited the account with the full dollar amount in Cdn dollars.

I redeemed some of starbucks gift cards before, so i may answer your question.

you get the e-card via "My Gift Cards" on your account, and you can print the page to use it in the store, or if you already have a physical starbucks gift card (which is my case), you can simply transfer the e-gift card balance to your physical ones. and then use it anytime you go to starbucks.
Edit: Whoops! while i was typing, key123 already posted her experience above. I just leave my post here, hope it helps too.

Thanks. I was gardening at the time so by the time I saw your post I was only able to get 2. I needed 3 to get my 20sbs but thats ok, as long as I see them tomorrow it will be a help with the total on Sunday. I did a TP survey for 23sb about Hard Rock cafes/hotels. It said it was suppose to be 1 minute but it was more like 6...still pretty easy so it's all good.

I took 3 tasks but in other site. Also completed PL survey for 30SB for Chapters. Also Completed 163SB trusted survey for ads, but when I finished, received the message that it was the first part of the survey and I have to reload the same link 16 hours later (900 minutes). First at all, I don't know if the same survey will show up in my ledger to complete the second part. The second thing - 900 minutes are exactly 15hours, not 16. Do you already completed this kind of surveys (2 parts, different days) and was it all normal? I'm so confused and angry

Edit: reloaded the link with the message and it showed after 15 hours (889 minutes). So, I have the right link, will see what will happens tomorrow. It said, that the second part will be only 10 minutes (the survey is 40 minutes in the ledger)Last edited by p4eli4ka; Sat, Jul 7th, 2012 at 03:49 PM.

First search win for 8sbs. Doesn't anyone trade their amazon.com gcs for amazon.ca ones anymore?

Thank you for the added info. I wondered if it would work, but was somewhat afraid to try when some of the information I read said Canadians had to print out the gift card. I know that my husbands card is registered. Maybe next time. I tend to buy the Starbucks cards if I spot them on sale and have the Swagbucks available.
