Yes. Such a wonderful little guy whom I want to wrap in bubble wrap. But I can't. At least for now he can't eat anything without me checking it first. He goes to pre-school in Sept. and I'm already worried.

hopefully your school is as good as ours with the peanut-free importance.. they're constantly sending home reminders and notices regarding it.. if anyone brings anything that's even remotely suspicious, it's taken away from the kid.. neither of mine have any food allergies but they're both aware of the dangers to other kids

I don't think they will be that good. Kids aren't supposed to bring peanut items, but I'm sure some do, as I know mom's who still pack peanut butter sandwiches. Sigh...

ugh, really? that's so insensitive.. i mean, i wish i could send pb sandwiches everyday with mine, but i kow that there's the potential for disaster there, so i just stuff them full of it during the summer.. lol

I buy sunbutter. Made from sunflower seeds only. Funny thing is kids won't eat it. They don't want anything "brown". I keep meaning to make it into cookies.

i've seen of soy butter but i haven't tried it.. don't want to buy the big jar if it turns out to be gnarly, ya know? sent away for a free sample of it a few years ago but it never did show up.. i've always wanted to try almond butter, but that doesn't help your situation any

I am shocked the school permits that Tweety? When mine were in grade school ( the eldest is 24, so long ago now) our school banned any PB of any kind in lunches, or even brought to school in backpacks for recess, etc. By now everyone must be aware their are major allergies and the reactions are severe? Good luck.

Treat everyone with politeness, even those who are rude to you – not because they are nice, but because you are.
