I know, it is crazy!! I limit my ds (he is almost 9) to 1-2 hours of video games a week. Beyond that he reads or colours or helps me around the house. He also loves Lego, my friends think I am too strict and should let him watch tv/ play video games more, but my ds is better behaved and likes to actually plays I my rules remain.

my daughter is almost 9 as well and i think if i limited her internet/gaming time that much she just might stage a mutiny. she plays her electronic stuff prob that much a day. she is very well behaved and does exceptionally well in school. i dont think gaming is the prob, but rather parents who dont properly parent outside of them. if your son is well behaved its because you are a good mom, i dont think it has to do with the restrictions he has on gaming

every generation has disbeliefs about how the younger generation is behaving. society is (sometimes unfortunately) in a constant state of evolution and change. not very much can be done to change that. despite the fact that there may be disagreement among the masses that this change is for the better, it it an inevitable fact of life. in twenty years time the current developing generation will have their own set of complaints about the growing generations... a cyclical tsunami of complaints and facepalms. better just to go with it rather than try and preserve stagnant and static values, life's too short to live it wishing for times of old.

Nah I even had disbelief's about my own generation watching kids around me lol. Maybe its because I'm getting older I think its worse.

and you know what its not just kids. people just bug me in general or at least stupid people lol. I remember a hurricane or something was baring down on mexico I think. All the Canadian airlines at the time gave a warning to Canadians traveling in mexico that they were sending in planes to pick them up ahead of the storm because when the storm hits it might take them up to 3 days to get in there. Most of the imbeciles said nah that's ok we'll ride it out. So right after that storm hits these stupid people were whining that the airlines weren't doing anything to help them leave mexico And left them stranded, umm no they didn't you dip they came to get you and you said no. You're an adult and you made a poor choice live with it and shut your pie hole, no one forced you to "ride it out".

I'm back! had to go make dough for homemade pizza for dinner. Mmmmm pizza! lol.

And I didn't mean earlier that video games make kids bad, but I do believe that the world is too much about electronics. It's very different from when I was little... Not that people that let their kids play games a lot are bad parents, it is up to them. But I chose to super limit my sons electronic usage.
