Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has gone to the movie theater alone?
I've been wanting to go watch a movie at the theater but all my friends and family are busy and was thinking of going by myself.
I know I can wait until it comes to dvd or download it later on but sometimes I would like to go out and watch it on the big screen.
Does anyone do this? does it feel weird going alone? This thread is currently associated with: N/ALast edited by conway; Wed, Jan 19th, 2011 at 07:51 PM.

If there was something I wanted to do and nobody around to do it with, I would most certainly go by myself.

Yep, I've gone alone. It doesn't feel weird at all. I just find that a movie isn't the best place to be social, so if I want to hang out with friends, we usually go places we can talk. People get annoyed when you talk throughout the film. LOL.

That is really the best way to see a movie that YOU really want to see, without grabbing popcorn/drinks for kids, whatever. Just peaceful, relaxing movie time. Time to escape.....so go alone and enjoy!

The up side to going to the movies alone, is that you don't have to share the popcorn with anyone

I have no choice but to go by myself. Once the movie starts, I'm fine, but before and after the movie, I hate the feelings going through my head , so I don't go very often. I've gone twice in the past six years and I love going to the movies. I just don't like going by myself.

If it feels strange just don't go too early. Nobody in there care that you are alone. Once the movie starts you will be just fine

I would feel very timid to try but I wouldn't object to it if I really wanted to see a movie but couldn't find one of my friends to come with me. I do see people watch movies alone but I never give it a second thought =)

Playing tennis by yourself would be weird. Going to a movie would be fine!
