My friend who lives on the west went to LD last night in Chilliwack. I mailed her some coupons to go stack... and the cashier told her that LD is thinking about stopping accepting stacking.
This isn't good.. Has anyone else heard of this????This thread is currently associated with: London Drugs

I think there's been rumours for a while but nothing concrete. I know that I would stop shopping there right away if they do, since their prices are so much higher.

Absolutely. I would probably never shop ther unless something was posted in a flyer for CHEAP!!! I couldnt imagine going back to paying their regular prices.
But yes I have also hear rumors of them no longer stacking,BUT I have also talked to the CS manager and the way she talk I dont see it happening. They get all their money back on the coupons just as any reg. store would get their money back on your coupons. She also told me she is still floored that they are the only store to allow you to use your coupons this way. She was also a couponer and would love to see this being done everywhere else!

They also get paid a fee on top of the coupon reimbursement for every one that they process, so it wouldn`t make sense for them to stop.

These rumours about stacking being stopped at LD have been floating around for at least a year (there are some older threads about this), but I often think it is coming from cashiers/CSM's who don't like entering all the coupons - lol! Personally, I think they will probably keep going with it, or at least I hope so

I think cashiers make it up and then it spreads like last week a cashier told me that companies are going to stop all coupon offers because they are loosing money because suddenly people are using them. ya uh hmm I believed that one, LOL

If LD gets their money back on it then why doesn't everywhere else do it. Can you imagine how much business would go up for Walmart lets say if they started.. wow...

yes i was told once by a cashier months ago. Well, I politely thanked her for the info, paid for my stuffs and left
I'd not shop at LD if they stop stacking. I'd rather shop at Zellers - get SPC discount and HBC points.

Not to go off topic, but could someone explain the Zeller's SPC discount to me, and how I go about getting it??

I was told by a LD cashier last month that they were thinking of stopping stacking. If they did, I would no longer shop there for the stuff that I do (diapers, personal care, etc) because their prices are significantly higher than anywhere else.
I would also like to know about the Zeller's SPC discount please!

Me three about the Zellars SPC cards... or just SPC cards in general. Around here I know you can buy them but they are only for students... how does one go about getting the non-student one?? I forgot what the name of it was... vip or something?
I wish stores around here stacked... Wal-Mart, Superstore, Sobey's. I would be in coupon heaven
Just think of the money to be saved.........!!!

I got my SPC online for $8.XX - at that time they also had a promotion where you can pick a GC too and I chose the GC for Pizza hut, it was also available in stores like Zellers for the same price but no GC. You need a student ID to use it. Some people got their VIP SPC (no student ID required) through Loulou magazine awhile back - there was some kind of promotion.

Maybe companies are cracking down on them for allowing this? Companies don't put the coupons out to be stacked? Just speculation here.
