Ashley01, I would recommend the following:
HD powder, mineral face primer (in Studio line), mineral eye primer, complexion brush, powder brush, Studio face kabuki (I use it for my HD powder everyday), complexion perfection (it's really good to even out skintone all over the face without loading up on concealer), golden bronzer (really nice for summer, has a shimmery look), contouring blush & bronzer, eye transformer (fun to play up shadows you already have), mineral eyeshadows are nice (confident, socialite are my faves), $1 eyeshadow and blending brushes.
Wow long list eh...that will refill that make up bag of yours right up I think.

I just want to let you know that in a few places (website and email), the ELF coupon code STUDIOSAVE for 50% off will only be valid until March 1, 2010.
This is definitely a change from the first email that I got, which said until the 15th. So get your orders in before the weekend is up ladies, if you were already thinking about it.
I just made mine today.
And Ashley01, it usually takes ELF about 2-3 weeks to get new stock in for their items, sucks, I know.

Hey, Ashley. It's definitely worth it. I have hardly put a dent in my samples that I ordered last year. Granted, I ordered quite a bit, but you can easily get 20 or more applications out of one eyeshadow sample. I think further back in the thread, I had written down some of my recs. A couple of other SCers who have subsequently ordered also wrote of their positive experiences, so go for it!

thanks I think I'll be placing an order
One more off topic question. Where can you find the coastal scents 88 shimmers pallet? I look on their site but couldn't find shipping to Canada.
This thread as me hooked on YouTube looking up make up reviews and looking for make up online! I've been up wayyyy to late the past 3 nights watching reviews, hauls, tips etc lol

Here's the link I posted earlier on for another SCer:
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...=STRK:MEWAX:IT
Coastal Scents does ship to Canada, but I think it's around $10 s/h for the palettes as they are heavier. You are better off buying from eBay as they are exactly the same. As mentioned earlier, they are all made in China, but then so is a lot of drugstore m/u here.
Youtube is definitely addictive. Check out gossmakeuparitist and pixiwoo when you get the chance. They both do great tutorials and give makeup advice.

It would let me quote...weird
Anyways, thanks for the link I looked around but couldn't find the shimmer pallet, I'm horrible with eBay though so I will have to spend some time looking. I noticed it's not actually from coastal scents, is it the same quailty and colors?
I will check out those youtubers!! I am also now an addict!!

Ashley01 you are just like me a novice in makeup but have now become totally addict
. i am putting on makeup in my dreams now!
you should look into the link Junerose provided above, I have done some looking around and for this plate it comes out to be 12-13 $ , some vendors will make the plate cost 2 dollars but will charge shipping some make it 12 dollars but shipping is free. so in the end you pay somewhere near 12-13 dollars.as for YouTube , makeup by Enkore and makeup geek are my favs for now!JOIN ME AND GET FREE GIFT CARDS! Don't fear, there are new codes all the time, and the popular stuff tends to go out of stock a lot. This was the case with the mineral primer for me earlier, just check back periodically and see if it comes back.
The dollar line eye primer isn't great btw, I have it, The $3 one is better and the ones that everyone raves around.
