Thread: coupon folder at walmart

So......i went to walmart last night with my friend...we were making the rounds while coupon hunting late into the night, and i came across a coupon folder with dividers and labels...i was like..."genius!"....but my dilemna is this...I'm spending money in order to help me save $$$?
my friend said "well have you saved more than 4.47 yet?" (the price if the folder)...well yeah..but i still have a hard time buying it........I AM SO CHEAP!!!!
The other thing was they make them bright red, blue, yellow.....as if they did it on purpose so the workers would immediately be alerted to a coupon user as soon as you enter the store with your bright red coupon organizer! What is up!?!
I'm actually thinking of getting a yellow one and getting a sticker put on that says, in big letters, "CHEAPSK8"...
what dya think!?!?!?!This thread is currently associated with: Walmart

i found some at rcss that were black/ navy/ grey, slightly longer than the ones at walmart (and i think slightly cheaper) they are for checks of something of the like (have 13 slots) and have the elastic closure

check Dollarama, they have ones that are a bit bigger but much cheaper. I have the red Walmart one and it's great quality and has lasted me much longer than the dollar store ones did.

I got mine at Dollarama, $2. It's mostly black with a little dark blue on it. It's lasted me, well, since I joined SC! Nothing announcing me as a coupon user until I haul out the coups themselves.

I picked up a zipper binder at value village for 3.00 then went to dollarama and picked up the hockey card plastic insert holders and put them in my binder, then used dividers to section each off ie: cleaning, beauty etc... works awesome and the binder has another sipper where there is a plastic accordian type dividers where I store my flyers etc... I put the binder in my eco-friendly bag and sit it in my cart and away I go... works awesome!

i started out using one of those and then bought a huge business card holder and it works great for me. I flip the pages up and can see everything I have and if I fold them right I can see the exp on the back.

I have a coupon folder that is neon yellow and I love it - from Wal-Mart and no one notices me pawing through it until I hit the cashiers ... my purse is also like Mary Poppins handbag so I need something colored a little different to find it, LOL! I adore mine and coupon storage is definately something that requires a little money up front to aid with lots of savings later ... you can always make one if you are crafty, I have seen a few patterns floating around but haven't been brave enough to try something myself.
... I'm earning $5-25 Amazon.ca gift cards EVERY month, are you?
P.S. ... starting to hunt for ShoppingChannel GC's with no minimum purchase ...

I found my coupon holder at the Dollarama for $1.50 it's clear with green (they also had it with blue or yellow) and it's great because it's long enough that I don't have to fold any of my coupons. For the smaller coupons I bought a package of the little clear baggies from the craft aisle in the Dollarama. I would check there and also if you have a Michaels near you they sometimes have them in there "Dollar+" section.Personally I wouldn't spend about $5 on one just in case you decide after a couple of weeks that it's not what you want to use
I've switched from envelopes- coupon binder - coupon folder, etc...so I try not to spend more than a couple of dollars.

I got the blue one a wm too! Well, this was after weeks of putting it in the cart & changing my mind, putting it back on the shelf. I also thought of putting stickers on it to make it more me.
bf got me one of the buxton big a$$ purse just before dd was born. I had always been a tiny purse girl, but he said the large one would be handy once dd was born. This wm binder tends to open in my purse when I don't secure the elastic. I quickly lost my patience with it. I feel so bad that I splurged on this & only used it 3 times.
Looking for a better solution, I bought one of the pencil cases (1$wm) which has 2 sides, so food & everything else has its section. There is even a little zipped up enclosure in the middle to stash my rainchecks. I really like this option best than the wm folder.
