They do but the cashiers there generally just override without looking before you even notice that there was a problem.

I hate their 10$ policy on coupons. It gets annoying always having to wait for someone to come over ride. I usually just break up my orders in 10$ coupon increments lol. Much faster than waitin for someone sometimes. But great deals!!

I am SOOOO doing that next time. I had no idea that you could go to the self checkout with coupons.

It seems like you would avoid a ton of hassles doing it this way.

Don't you just love those cashiers who make up their own rules??? I'm a very shy person and before coupons I would get very embarrased if I was holding up a line. Now that I'm trying to save money it doesn't seem to phase me LOL!!!!!!! Every once in a while if I happen to have a coupon for something for the person behind me I'll usually give it to them to make them a little happier about having to wait on me and my coupons

I think people just have noooooo clue how to deal with coupons.. and they're jealous of the people who do know how to use them.. bummer for the cashier but 3 thumbs up for the savings

great job! It still amazes me about all the different rules some cashiers make up I think it really comes down to the stores needing to do better training about coupon use.

I think cashiers are just mostly worried about doing something wrong too, about losing their jobs etc, once they are trained properly they will know better.

    Thanks

You click eem coupons" and you enter all the prices on the coupons and once your done, you click "done and the annoying operated voice says "hand all coupons to the cashier now" until you give them to her/him and you pay;n leave. (I did have one weird cashier who kept argueing with me that I had kept some of my coupons LOL! and I pointed to her hand and was like "its on the top of the pile!" it was right in her hand!)
In 2010/11 I used over $7700 in coupons!
My 2012 goal is $6000 in coupons!

As for the self serve check out, it is so EASY! When you are done scanning all your items, you can click on a button indicating how you want to pay, or eem coupons". Click on it, and away you go! Its as easy as clicking on "Manufacturer coupon" and then entering 1.00, 2.00, 5.00.... and so on. When you've finished entering them it will tell you "Give coupons to attendant" . On their little screen at their podium they can see a copy of your receipt and go from there. I find they normally just hit the button so you can pay and be on your way and hardly even look at the coupons!

As for coupons you CAN'T use at the self serve check out, you can't use the Similac checks without an override as well as any coupon over 10$ (IE the current phone card coupon).

As for angry people behind you at check out, they're just jealous of your awesome savings! To bad for them! LOL
Thank you for explaining the self check out further, I was just going to type it all out!

Some cashiers just don't like it because they actually have to take the time and work

I actually got "hassled" at RCSS the other day the Supervisor actually told me and I do quote "this is the first and last time we will allow you to use so many coupons" I love getting those pink sticker deals but when you have other coupons and get all the trouble of it being over the $10 limit it sucks. I totally forgot that I should have went threw the self checkout.
