The Quest to Lower my $OOP for Groceries in 2011!

hey everyone, so sorry i've been lax with the update for August! We've been busy with stripping wallpaper, painting our hallway and updating the decor (looks fabu now!)...also had our 7th wedding anniversary! Woohoo! So with all the family and house stuff, didn't have a ton of time to do updates on SC...but I did take a peek at the forums to be sure I didn't miss the big stuff!

Anywho, the August totals are up and we're super happy! Thanks to your tips and posts on SC the journey progresses well...September will be an interesting one...need to build up the stockpile again. So glad for the chicken legs deal at Food basics this week! DD loves them!
In other news, can u believe it? Not one of my remaining cereal boxes have a coupon on them! Ack! How did that happen? LOL!

Well, gotta run , the little one wants to catch Treehouse and I've got some chicken to fry up for dinner. take care!

So true! I wasn't logging to SC much this past summer but when I did, I was so glad to see all the great news on deals, coupons and offers...got a lot of info just scanning a few threads and posts. Thanks SC...really helping to keep this quest in check!

Teach me your ways

There are several tips posted in the thread and TONS of stuff throughout the SC forums (Deals, Coupons and Brag sections) to help you find best deals to use coupons on or grocery specials. I love the grocery flyer threads because SC members usually post their shopping plans and that helps a lot too! happy saving and shopping!

Finally got the September totals up! Life's been busy, so much going on but still keeping tabs! My lowest price point deals have been bread with pink stickers! As low as $0.25 ea...recently at RCSS I scored 6 loaves of Wonderbread Simply Free and Invisibles for $0.64 total after all the coupons. That was a hilariously fun shopping spree!
