I went to SDM today to get the Neutrogena kit, bought other items to bring the total to $50 (for the $10 coupon) and one of the items was LB Potato Chips. The chips was advertised at $1.69 each (until end of April), but when I left the store I noticed I was charged $1.79 instead. So I went back to the store and spoke to the cashier. She said the advertised price must be one of the specials for next week, that's why the system's not updated and if I prefer to purchase it for $1.69 I could go back again tomorrow. I knew in my heart that what she said was incorrect. But instead of arguing with her, I said "oh, I see, thank you" and left the store. I didn't go very far though, I immediately called SDM CS and told the agent what happened and also asked her about SCOP, she agreed that the store should have honoured the advertised price + SCOP. So I went back to the store, told the cashier what the agent had said, she spoke to the agent on the phone herself, gave me a refund and apologized for the mistake.

Now, I didn't want to take advantage of the store. Since I received about $2 back, that brought my total down to less than $50, so I offered to purchase another LB Potato Chips to make up for the difference. The cashier said no, because it was the store's mistake and let me keep my $10 SDM coupon.

Anyway, that was my first SCOP experience. Thank you SC for teaching me about SCOP!

ps: I tried to purchase a SDM GC with my SDM MC but the store wouldn't let me because the cashier (not the same one) said it's a new SDM policy that stores are no longer allowed to accept SDM MC for GCs purchase .

Thank you... I figured there was no point of staying and arguing with her (customers waiting in line). She was a teenager, so she probably wasn't even aware of the SCOP policy.

Cool ..good for standing your ground .

The SCOP stickers are usually pasted right at the cash till/register or the store entrance ..you should just point to them in case the cashiers don't know about them/policy
