So How Many People Have Already Filed their Taxes ?

i started mine on quicktax well they are pretty much all done but i always go through it a couple of times. This time it also doesn't say how much i get yet soo i think that they must be working on the program still or something cuz i usually get something. Plus to netfile i think i have to call the cra to get my account running again, i must have forgot what i put for my security question,lol or couldn't figure out how i spelled it when i had filled it out.

Hmm...I just logged into My Account on CRA website and it says "T4, T5 and other tax slips are not yet available on this site."

That would make my life much easier if my T4's were available online. I can't file our taxes until we get our T4's, Stock forms, etc, etc.

If you guys are registered online for My Account on the Revenue Canada ( CRA ) website ..all the various T4 slips are already available online , so no need to wait for them in mail

Anyways you can't NETFILE or TELEFILE till Feb. 15 anyways .

Even if you mail it in ...they don't start processing the returns till Feb. 15 anyways .

Last year , I telefiled on Feb. 15 ..the very first day they opened ..guess what after 8 days ..YES ..8 days my refund was deposited ..this even included a Sat/Sun ..so basically we are talking about 6 business days ..WOW !!! that was fast

I keep seeing my tax package on top of the fridge whenever I pass by, then I freak out "omg I forgot I have to do my taxes!!!" then I remember that I don't have DH's slip so I can't do them yet lol

DId mine today and this is the 1st time im going to owe, alll because of the UCCB! Way to go government to give me a child benefit of 100.00 a month that goes into my ds's account and then I HAVE to pay tax on it......

I tested my taxes without the benefit and I would not of owed.

I hate doing my taxes now! It was so much simpler many moons ago when I was just a poor broke student. Now I've got maternity leave, northern deductions, travel expenses, childcare..... The northern stuff makes me want to run screaming from my house buck naked!

Still waiting on T4's, my mom buys the software and does the whole familys Then send it in by Netfile. Would be more excited to know I was getting money back, but haven't in years

We filed on Tuesday (Feb. 15th) They were posted on CRA & Assessed by Friday, scheduled for refund deposit on Feb. 25 (8 days after filing! lol)

I started mine last night and finished them today. I have one question for my financial planner on Tuesday (or tomorrow if he's open) before I submit them via netfile.

I filed this evening both myself and my Husbands (not bad for having had brain surgery eh?!) and I also made sure to claim all the T4s as I forgot one last year haha.
