Well I had tried to share Felix's adventures but it didn't work so well and then I thought maybe I should start a thread where people can share funny or cute things that your pet has done that makes them wonderful. or makes you laugh. sometimes Felix does things that he shouldn't and I can't help but laugh at the stuff he does.

This morning Felix tried to run off with the floss and I found it funny because I thought maybe he needed it for his teeth. lol That darn cat food can get stuck in the worst places you know. lol
Felix loves the tape measure and he goes nuts if you use one and he tries to catch it. if you want him to come-just get out the tape measure. lol He absolutely can't resist the thing and will come racing from the other end of the house to come play with it. lol Sometimes he comes too fast and has to put on the brakes and skids to a stop. haha. though he is getting chubbier lately and his racing pace isn't as fast as it used to be. He's getting old I guess. lol He is only 3yrs old though. he needs a diet but don't say that to his face because he doesn't like it. You have to be delicate about that subject because I swear he understands english sometimes. lol
He is also a little thief- he will sneak on to furniture or tables and take things to play with. lol if something is missing-look to the cat! then check under furniture because that is likely where it ended up when he was was playing with it. lol it accidentally ends up under the furniture and he can't get it so he leaves it there. He used to love taking pens. lol really frustrating especially when pens already have legs!! now they have legs and the assistance of a cat to dissapear!
I have more but I will leave it at that maybe. I hope it gave you all a chuckle. please share if you have anything that your pet does to make you smile or laugh or is just so cute! I know there are adorable pics out there of our pets as well. I thought it would be a good way to pay a bit of a tribute to our pets and also be a feel good thread. can't have enough of those!!

I take care of my granddaughters two dogs along with her baby on weekdays. One of her dogs is a year and a half old and is part Beagle and part Basset hound. Anyway he is long and kind of low to the ground. He loves to chase his tail. He will spin around and around trying to catch his tail. It is rather funny to watch when he finally gets disgusted and quits. The little one thinks it is a game and she tries to chase after him as he spins.

I have two cats. Charlie is a fairly large male cat. Toby was the runt of her litter and never grew very big. It's funny how cat politics work though. Charlie could probably eat Toby for dinner if he wanted to but Toby definitely rules the roost. If Charlie has a comfy chair, Toby will inevitably jump up and sit on him until he leaves. If Charlie is drinking from the water dish and Toby decides she's thirsty, she'll come along and splash him in the face with the water. When they are eating, she always decides she wants Charlie's bowl instead of hers so she'll reach out with her paw and drag the bowl right out from under his nose.
After being sent to the bedroom a few times for her behaviour, Toby has decided that I am in fact the top cat of the house though. So if I walk in and she's in Charlie's bowl again, she'll quickly run away before I have a chance to catch her. If I'm across the room, all I have to do is say her name and she's off like a flash.
The rest of the time she's cuddly and sweet though. That's why I keep her.

abbasgirl that is so funny! it's definitely funny how size doesn't seem to matter with animals.

My cat Fluffy wil drag around my dd's barbies by their hair. We wake up in the morning half the time stepping on barbies in the middle of my kitchen. Plus she meows the whole time she has one in her mouth. Weird cat.

The following was found posted very low on a refrigerator door.

Dear Dogs and Cats: The dishes with the paw prints are yours and contain
your food. The other dishes are mine and contain my food. Placing a paw
print in the middle of my plate and food does not stake a claim for it
becoming your food and dish, nor do I find that aesthetically pleasing in
    the slightest.

The stairway was not designed by NASCAR and is not a racetrack. Racing me
to the bottom is not the object. Tripping me doesn't help because I fall
    faster than you can run.

I cannot buy anything bigger than a king sized bed. I am very sorry about
this. Do not think I will continue sleeping on the couch to ensure your
comfort, however. Dogs and cats can actually curl up in a ball when they
sleep. It is not necessary to sleep perpendicular to each other, stretched
out to the fullest extent possible. I also know that sticking tails
straight out and having tongues hanging out on the other end to maximize
    space is nothing but sarcasm.

For the last time, there is no secret exit from the bathroom! If, by some
miracle, I beat you there and manage to get the door shut, it is not
necessary to claw, whine, meow, try to turn the knob or get your paw under
the edge in an attempt to open the door. I must exit through the same door
I entered. Also, I have been using the bathroom for years - canine/feline
    attendance is not required..

The proper order for kissing is: Kiss me first, then go smell the other
dog or cat's butt. I cannot stress this enough.

Finally, in fairness, dear pets, I have posted the following message on
    the front door:

TO ALL NON-PET OWNERS WHO VISIT AND LIKE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT OUR PETS:

    (1) They live here. You don't.
    (2) If you don't want their hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture.
That's why they call it 'fur'-niture.
    (3) I like my pets a lot better than I like most people..
    (4) To you, they are animals. To me, they are adopted sons/daughters who
are short, hairy, walk on all fours and
    Don't speak clearly.
Remember, dogs and cats are easier to raise than kids because they:
    (1) eat less,
    (2) don't ask for money all the time,
    (3) are easier to train,
    (4) normally come when called,
    (5) never ask to drive the car,
    (6) don't smoke or drink,
    (7) don't want to wear your clothes,
    (8) don't have to buy the latest fashions,
    (9) don't need a gazillion dollars for college and
    (10) if they get pregnant, you can sell their children ..

That's hilarious, Samplegurl! I would add that laying on top of me and pinning me to the bed is not necessary either.
I doubt that moving to the couch would work anyway. They would just come with me! My mother came over to help me with painting awhile ago. She brought a small camping cot to sleep on. Guess where my two cats insisted on sleeping that night!

WHen I think of funny stuff animals do I think of my old dog Odie. We got him when I was 2 and he lived to be 17 and thought he was a puppy right to the end. He was willing to do anything my sister and I did. My sister had a green cabbage patch stroller and we would dress him up in baby clothes and push him up and down the street. One day we hear a big crash noise, dog had decided to jump in himself and weight broke the stroller. Halloween we used to make him costumes of capes and masks. We used to "camp" in the back yard sleeping in your tent and if we didn't let him sleep with use he would whine at the door until my mom let it out. We taught him how to opent he tent door by leaving the zipper opened just a bit and he would stick him nose in the crack and open it and go out to pee. We used to play car trip where we took all our stuffed animals in the back seat of the car and pretend to drive and the dog would be right there waiting for our road trip snack. We shared a room and had bunk beds and we learned to climb up the ladder and then would get stuck on the top bunk and whine until someone heard him and let him down. My grandma used to live with us and she bought one of those big tricycle for adults and it had a basket in the back. We put a blanket in the basket and he would just sit and go for a ride.

    Cute stories!!!

Our almost 6month old dachshund steals everything that isn't stapled down. If I kick off my slippers, one immediately disappears down the hall...when I go to fetch it (notice who's doing the fetching here?), she races me back for the other one and I have to stand on one while I put the other one on, and when I get to the other one, I find that she's already taken the insole out and is happily trying to shred it in the hallway. Which I now have to fetch, wearing one slipper and carrying the other. When both are on me, I look over at her, and she's shredding a kleenex she stole from the trash basket! OMG....we should have named her "Swiper" from the Dora cartoons which our grandson watches!

And when my hubby and are are watching tv and she's off somewhere, it only takes a few seconds before we see her proudly hauling her sweater or a snowboot into the livingroom, looking innocent as can be, as if she's invisible and we don't see what she's up to!

I tell ya....we might be in our golden years, but that Jenny gives us all the exercise we need! And walks? Uh, noooo...she takes us for drags! And it's so funny to see a doxie run...their two back feet hop like a bunny, lol...
I mention that to her when she won't slow down...."You run like a bunny!" Naturally I'm ignored.

    Oh, aren't our fur-kids wonderful??!!!

My little Roxy knows that one of the last things I do before I leave for work in the morning is put my socks on....so every time, she tries to take them off of me. And when I get home from work, she pulls my socks off. LOL

FROM THE DOG ABOUT THE CAT
    Copyright 2004 W. Bruce Cameron
    To: Master of the house
    From: Dog
    Subject: Cat

    Master:
The cat is despicable. She doesn't do any tricks and never comes when you call and I've been there and I know she can hear you. We need to face facts: It is time to get rid of the cat.
Before the cat's arrival, meals were very festive times. I would sit and stare attentively at your lips, trembling slightly and drooling.
You would play the game of pretending to be cross and demand that I leave the area, but whenever you cooked dinner your children would slip me food under the table. Now, though, the cat is allowed to jump on the table--actually physically walk on the table! You don't yell at the cat, you just pick her up and put her back on the floor, and I know you don't see it but she always gives me a haughty look as she walks past me.
And speaking of meals, I have always been satisfied to eat the gritty pellets of meat by-products you bring home in the giant bags, right? Have I ever once, ever, failed to finish a meal? But now I find out that the cat is being served lobster and salmon and crab--and she never consumes all of it! This means there are little containers of delectable snacks lying around and how can I be blamed for making sure they get eaten? Why do you get so mad? As long as the pet food is going to the pets, isn't that what is important?
Then there is play time. I think we can clearly see that I am a big dog, descended from a noble line of hunters accustomed to chasing prey and attacking it. Haven't I nearly managed to take down a few cars as they've driven past the house? The cat is about the size of a squirrel and in my view should behave like one, but when I attempt to chase her, she hunches up and spits at me! This cannot be sanitary.
And shouldn't she be declawed? I'm very concerned about the potential for damage to the furniture plus my nose.
Speaking of sanitation, do you realize that the cat goes to the bathroom in the house? And not in the drinking basins like you do, but in a sandbox in the basement. What are we going to say if some woman brings her baby over to play in the sandbox and the cat has been using it as a toilet? I used to police the thing for you, but you put it up out of my reach for some reason.
I'm not the only one who feels the cat is an evil person. Here is a note from the hamster:

    To: Master of the house
    From: Hamster
    Subject: Cat

Please tell cat to stop staring at me while I work.
Signed, Hamster, Department of Rodent Wheels
I also tried to get a note from the fish, but apparently it believes that everything happening outside its bowl is some kind of reality TV show.
I don't understand why the cat is allowed up on the bed and I'm not. I am far more cuddly than any stupid cat. I think her purring sounds unhealthy and may be a sign of tuberculosis. And why doesn't she ever get a bath? She smells like saliva from licking her paws--you'd never catch me licking such ridiculous places. I often smell wonderful from rolling in road kill, yet you give me baths all the time!
And speaking of sleeping, sometimes I will be taking a nap and she'll come right up and lie down beside me. Usually I'm too tired to do anything about it, but then later the other dogs smell her on me and crack a lot of jokes at my expense.
So, not to exaggerate, but the cat has brought the family to complete ruin. I'm sorry I've got to be the one to bring it to your attention, but now that I have I think we can all agree that we should go back to the way it was, when I was the number-one pet.

    Scottie
