I am new to couponing and have a lot of questions that I need answered..
I have been reading a lot on this website and it is AWESOME but I do not see anywhere that helps with FAQ's etc.

Thanks and if anyone is willing to answer some of my questions that would be awesome!

Here is one... I have been looking at the "brag" section on this site..and looking at peoples stock piles etc..but I am confused because when you go to a store like London drugs and use a "stack"...how can that be done when the coupons being used have to "Look" different. Is this from saving coupons over a LONG period of time...or? I'm confused. Hope that makes sense?! lol

from what I understand.. the UPC's have to be different on the back of the coupon to stack them.. and from different sources..
we don't have a LondonDrugs here.. yet. lol so not totally sure on that. never done it..

what other questions do you have

Honestly I don't think there is a Help Thread... I went hunting... there are threads to helps in specify area's IE... Shoppers or London Drugs... I know as I referred to them greatly when I first started.

As per your question... Stacking requires coupons to be different... so yes it does take some time to gather "different" coupons.. but sometimes you luck out and find coupons on tear pads in different stores for the same products that are different....

My first stacks were using instore tear pad coupons and printables... over time I gathered different coupons... but really it doesn't take that long! I have only been back to couponing since August... after about 20 years of not couponing... and I stack big time now... So have some patients, do some trades and before long you will have plenty to "stack" with.

Hmmm..yeah I am just confused after seeing all of these posts of people going and buying like 20 bottles of shampoo or 10 boxes of hair dye or 6 packages of diapers..how do they use so many coupons to do that..isn't it hard to acquire a different coupon but for the same item? I have some coupons saved..but how do you find more of the same coupons but with different UPC codes??
    Thanks for your help..so confusing!

You hunt for them, trade for them, call manufactures, enter contests, buy specially marked packages, buy the papers with the coupon inserts (buy multiple papers), recycle bin hunt... the list goes on and on!!

Read these two threads.. they might help a bit Shoppers or London Drugs

    It does indeed get easier.

Usually stacks consist of five basic types of coupons, any of which may be present in the stack, but not all have to:
    Tear pad/in-store coupons
Coupons requested directly from the manufacturer
    Insert coupons
    Online-order coupons (websaver, save.ca, brandsaver)
Special coupons (come with free trials, inside other products, from promotions etc)

Honestly, it's mind-numbing when you first start out. Then you get an eye for spotting deals and combinations to make items cheap or free. I used to have mini panic attacks when stacking, but now it's pretty smooth sailing. I went stacking after being awake over 24 hours straight with a pounding headache and managed perfectly fine, no sweat.

    Everything comes in time

I thought it would take me a long time to get stacks together, but in my 2 months of couponing I have gotten hundreds of items free!! So its really a matter of gathering those inserts and in store coupons and ordering and printing them off! I am fairly new too and in the beginning it was really confusing! I am sure you'll feel like an expert in no time! One thing I learnt really quickly is how amazing this community is and how everyone is soo willing to help each other out :D

Great idea for a thread - I'm new to this as well and don't understand how people get like 10 razors, 20 shave gels, 10 shampoos.....I've been reading the forum non-stop trying to figure it out! lol I'm sure we'll learn in time!

I found this site a month ago and have saved a lot of money already

i know, it's overwhelming at first. when i joined this site i had 9 coupons! yup nine! and it didn't take long at all to acquire lots and lots. now i have a whole binder full! you'll see that when people put their 'for trade' lists up they will sometimes have the UPC beside, so you can compare to the ones you have and then make a trade.

when you go shopping next, go down EVERY single aisle and hunt for coupons!!! tear pads are awesome because you can always grab a bunch (be nice and don't take them all lol) whereas the ones you order online you can only get 1 unless you have family members you sign up and oder you some. i get my mom to do that for me.

there was recently a coupon $7 off when you buy 3 olay, secret, etc. so when the item went on sale for $1.50 or so they were getting lots for free. (1.50 x 3 = 4.50 - $7 coupon) and if you had 2 of those coupons you could get 6 for free, so that's one example on how you can get lots for free or cheap.

what i did first is start looking through my house and figured out what i buy all the time and then really watch for those kinds of coupons. the deals thread is awesome because it shows all the things that are on sale that have coupons to go with it too. there's also a coupon database that shows every coupon available and how to find them.

hope this helps PM me if you have any other questions.
