RANT WARNING!! RANT WARNING!! RANT WARNING!!

This was my first time at the WalMart SS at Jane and Hwy 7....It seemed like they had never seen a coupon before! First, after finding someone to take the razors out the locked glass cabinet?! (at my local WalMarts you can just help yourself...I mean they're just razors!) Anyhow, the keyholder told me that I would have to pay for them in the cosmetics dept. I said "no problemo...can I pay for this junk too?" She says "Ya...ok...you don't have much stuff." So off we go...once we get there she begins to ring in my stuff and I hand over my coupons. She looks at them and tells me she'll have to get a manager to put the coupons through and calls for one. A few minutes later, no manager...I suggest she void my purchase and I'll just take it to the front, assuming the next cashier will have a bit more knowledge in the coupon dept. No such luck...she looks at my FPC and calls a manager. Manager comes by and explains how to put through the FPC's and starts to walk off...I asked if she wouldn't mind staying nearby as I have a few more coupons (and a really bad feeling about this) She takes a look at them shows them to the cashier and says "you know how to do these ones right?"...cashier nods and of goes the manager. Twenty minutes later...no lie...TWENTY MINUTES!! She's staring at one of my coupons like it's written in K'iche! So I ask her, very politely, as I realize that this is probably stressing her out more than it is me, to just charge me for the items...don't worry about the coupons...just give me back the ones you haven't put through, I'll figure it out with customer service. She hands me back ALL of my coupons, even the ones she did put through! Off I go to customer service. After a lengthy wait, I explain what happened, including the fact that the cashier needs these certain coupons back as she did ring them through which I figured, would mess up her balance if she didn't have them. Now this CSR looks really flustered! She says she'll need to call a manager....(Deep breath...deep breath...) I ask if she can't just refund my purchase on the items that didn't have a coupon deducted and then resell them to me using my coupons??? WTH is the problem here??!! Instead we wait for the manager. Then we wait some more. When the manager shows up (same one as before, if I may) she tells the CSR to refund my purchase and resell the items to me, using my coupons.....WOW!!

I am quite happy to say that I have never before had an experience like this at any WalMart. Also, I wasn't overly disappointed with the whole thing as I was just too thrilled with my deals! BUT REALLY?? It took me maybe 20 minutes to find all the stuff I wanted and then an HOUR to cash out!! OMG was I happy to be out of there! And I do think I'll skip WalMart on my next trip to Vaughan!

P.S. Thanks to all the fantastic deal/coupon posters....I'd never be able to find all these awesome scores without you!

Jane n Hwy 7 gets a lot of theft ppl steal the razors there thats why ppl from keel n finch shop there lol

I dont really go there I go to the one closer to me so dunno why they have given u a hard time with coupons but they have that express line up where ppl dont line up behind u they line up in one big line and as each cashier finishes they go to the next cashier thats ready. so Id think it would be less of a hassle with that option (no pissy customer behind u).

Awesome deals! I always avoid the electronics/pharmacy/jewelry counters when I have coupons and just go to the main checkouts because I'm afraid they won't know what to do with them...and I guess they don't.

Thanks all! I usually use the express check out at WM because those cashiers seem to be more "worked in" as far as coupons go BUT I was shopping with my little sister (13 years old)...who is FOREVER in a hurry! She insisted on that line cause there was noone in front of us, assuming it would be faster. Well, HAHAHA...she'll never question big sister again!! (Ya right...)
