Confused... Dempsters vs Bens Bread

I'm just curious why (how) people are able to use the $1 Bens Smart Bread coupons on Dempsters Smart Bread? Are they the same bread/same company?? I got denied for not buying the right product (my bread said Dempsters).

Just curious how that's working for everyone to use a Bens coupon for Dempsters I'm obviously missing something here lol

I have a bunch and put them on my trade list simply because I don't know where to buy Ben's bread. Haven't seen the stuff EVER. And I think they are different companies too, though, don't quote me.

Ben's bread is owned by Maple Leaf.It's sold in Atlantic Canada.
