Giant Tiger coupon issue this morning

Was in Giant Tiger this morning, getting a few things, and was to use a few coupons. Cashier refused my d'Italiano bread coupon because it was already on special and the coupon says cannot be combined with other offer. She did however take my mr.Clean coupon even though is was reduced price already. I was under the understanding that we could use a manufacturer coupon even if the item was already on special? I didn't have the patience to argue with her and wanted to get my facts straight before discussing it with the cashier. So, whats the real deal?

i was at giant tiger on weekend and bought 4 d'italiano and use 4 75cent off coupons. got 4 loaves for 2.88.... no questions asked..... i think you got a B........ cashier, try another next time or see the manager...

I have NEVER had an issue with a coupon at GT on sale items... I'd guess you got a nasty one!!

I've not had an issue before either. DH bought 4 loaves with that coupon last week, so I'm guessing you just got a grumpy cashier.

I'd try again if I were you. I'm sure the grouchy cashier's face will be carved in your memory (LOL) so hopefully you can avoid his/her line next time.

Hurry though--that coupie expires on Thursday!

My Giant Tiger didn't even have any bread left, though have no problem getting the secret deodorant on sale with a coupon

Oh don't worry, I remember what she looks like Won't be going in her line anymore! She let me use the Mr.Clean coupons (also on special), but since d'Italiano coupon says "cannot be combined with any other offer", she gave me a problem. She thought whe was being really assertive by reading the back of the entire coupon out loud, next time I will be just as assertive asking for her manager.
