crAZy4dEAls sent me this recipe and I made it today for dinner. OMG is it ever good! I just had to share. The stove top puffs up when it cooks and the meatballs are AMAZING! I served it over penne pasta.
Crock pot meatballs w. spaghetti sauce
Pour 1 jar or can of spagetti sauce in crockpot.
Mix together in a bowl:
1 lb hamburger
1 egg
1 pkg of stove top stuffing
1/2 cup water
Form hamb. mixture into balls and toss into sauce in crockpot
Cook on low for 6-8hrs or on high for 4.
Can also toss in other items you think might compliment ie) can of mushrooms, diced gr. pepper, etc. This thread is currently associated with: N/A

That sounds interesting, wish I'd read it before I cooked my ground beef! Oh well, next time there's a sale I'll try it out.
Sobeys has a 'sale' on lean ground beef this week for $2.77 a pound. Not a deal IMO!

Last time I bought ground beef I got 2x 10lb bags and it was $1.27lb! I've seen it go as low at 99c/lb.
My husband is over the moon with this recipe! He asked me to email it to him so he can share it with the guys at work...NOW you KNOW it's good!

So when you form it into balls, are you talking little meatballs? Or your one pound of beef makes six or something?

I've done this, but I've mixed in a small jar of grape jelly and an envelope of dry onion soup into the spaghetti sauce. It's more of a sweet 'n sour sauce...great over rice!
Yep. Awesome! LOL!!

Thanks for posting this KellyC, it made me get up off my butt and try them. Started sort of late so they are still simmering and it is 3:00 a.m.!! lol I only had ground chix, so hope they will still taste o.k. I LOVE other people's sweet and sour meatballs, whenever I have had them at a pot luck, etc.
Thanks again!

Ya, those days of wee ones dominating the early a.m. hours are in my past.
Unfortunately, living with night shift workers while I do days still puts me at a sleep deficit most days.
The meatballs were a hit! I served over rice with steamed broccoli. Again thanks for posting the recipe.
