So i have seem similar posts like this from others in there local sections. Thought i would give it a try, i feel safer posting this in here rather than kijiji, as i dont feel you guys would be creepy creeps. LOL (never no who might try and "hire" you on kijiji.. i have seem some STRANGE adds.)
ANYWAYS
I am in DESPERATE Need of a job, which is odd living in niagara falls because everything is hiring. Unfortunately i am not qualified to do anything( i am 23 and my only experience on a resume is child care*baby sitting* and an internship I did as an ECE assistant at a daycare(also child related) all in all, nobody seems to want to hire me, due to lack of experience/school (no grade 12) I feel like i have applied every possible place I can and i am losing hope. Im hoping somebody on here will see this, and maybe know of some place hiring in the niagara falls not on a job bank perhaps that would give me a chance. Thanks in advance if anyone has any suggestions. This thread is currently associated with: N/ANiagara Falls for New years!!! YIPPY!!!!!

orv, have you thought about taking some kids into your home and opening a home daycare? I am a ECE and I went back to work after Mat leave and I make more money now with 2 kids then I did at work and paying for my child care fees (my daughter went to the daycare I worked at. I now have a full group of 5 and 1 more starting in Aug. If you need and ideas or tips please PM me I wouldn't mind emailing you some info !

Orv, my store is hiring part timers still (I believe). I manage Bouclair at the Square, but am on Mat leave. Go in there, fill in an application and have your resume with you. Can't guarantee you will get an interview or not. I don't know you, so I can't refer you. Make sure you talk to the staff. Ask them questions. We, as management, always rely on our staff's first impression. (Ppl will always act differently with management/in an interview, so it's nice to hear what our staff says). Take a look at the website (bouclair.ca) and do some investigating about the company and what we sell. Good luck in your job search!
A lot of retailers like ppl that have no experience bc we can train them OUR way.
(My husband is looking for a job too - since May 2009, when he was laid off. I feel your pain -- two ppl on EI, not fun).
If all else fails, definately try to do home daycare! It's great! You can be home and still be with your daughter. I'm sending the baby to a home daycare in September. I hate big I don't care about/who your kid is daycare centres. LOL

A good place to look for openings is jobgym.com its a site devoted just t niagara region jobs. Marineland only hires for April-October but they only require you be atleast 18. I worked there for the past 2 summers in admission, it was pretty fun (I'm 21)
Good Luck!www.jennmalone.com

good luck!it's even worse in welland, itleast ya dont live here!! I think the home day care someone mentioned is a GREAT idea,i've considered it myself. You can be with your daughter that way to.PLUS you can socialize her and get playtime/drawing/bring her out/read etc. with her,it's really a win win situation!! The only downfall i suppose is your little one won't get the one on one attention from you but i think it's better then putting her in a daycare without you.
