Since joining smartcanuks I have become open to the world of coupons. Before I would use 1 or 2 a year and never look twice at the inserts. I would read the flyers but look more at the electronic flyers, makeup, shoes and clothes. Now I read the grocery flyers and Best Buy and Future Shops flyers go in the recycling bin!
I started with a pouch I got at the dollar store and Ziplock bags for different categories.

I then upgraded to the plastic accordion but didn`t like it since I could not see all the coupons.

My husband had the idea of using business card holders for coupons. I bought 7 of them. One for each category. I bought them in the states at the Dollar Tree.

Then the P&G inserts and online came out...Too many coupons. So I went back to the States and bought this Dual 1 and a half inch zip up binder in the States. It was on sale for $20. It has a accordion file at the front and a zip up part for pens and stuff. It came with a Strap and was in Pink Too! Well now the strap keeps on breaking and it so full that the seams are ripping. I can hardly close it now and not all my coupons are in there.

So I have been keeping my eye out for 5 inch binders now and didn't realize how expensive they are, about $40. A while back the Newton Office Depot was having a close out sale. I scored this Wilson Jones 5 inch binder for $1 and it came with dividers !
So last night I was up organzing it and realized I need another one
Both my food and GM sides are in there and its stuffed. So now I am on the look out for another 5 inch binder. One for food and one for GM

My advice to Newbies is if your serious on couponing buy the biggest binder you can find! In under 2 years I went from that small pouch to having hopefully
2, 5 inch binders....

This made me chuckle. I'm at two of those plastic accordians using a label maker for the tabs. (they fit in my large purse) Can't wait till I get up to a binder. So far these are holding but then again it's been less than a month since I started.

How do you use all those coupons before they expire? I'm just starting out but I always wonder that...especially on the shoe extreme couponing (they keep inserts forever it seems)! Awesome brag! The pics along with the story was awesome!

great evolution!! Looks like those from the TLC show" Extreme Couponing" ladies. I'm still a newbie in couponing so I'm still carrying the little wee coupon binder to put in my purse.
