Ok so SDM is absolutely crazy busy with its 20x promo and only 1 cashier on so I didn't want to argue any longer and hold up the line.
Am I wrong or right? You guys know best!
Say I purchased Purex at $3.99 and used a $3.00 coupon
If I wanted to return it I would be getting the whole $3.99 back correct????
I ask this because the MANAGER is only wanting to give me back $0.99 because I used a $3 coupon.
So I politely said fine give me back my $3 coupon, to which she replied NO we don't give back coupons.
AM I RIGHT OR WRONG THAT I SHOULD BE GETTING MY FULL $3.99 BACK??
on top of that it was the WORST experience I have ever had at SDM in 5yrs of going there.
denied using coupons , denied getting a rain check on 4 different items
AND DIDN'T GET MY 20x POINTS ON 1 TRANSACTION
, 1st transaction before coupons was $86ish and the other was $62ish
how can you get 20x points on 1 and not the other
, both under 50 after coupons
As well she would not scan the bonus point coupons I had for J&J & crest, because she said I could not use them with coupons! This thread is currently associated with: Pharmaprix, Shoppers Drug MartLast edited by Peachykeen2007; Sat, Jun 18th, 2011 at 02:13 PM.

most stores will not give back your coupons, best thing to do is call the manager of the store first and then call ho that way you will at least get your 20x pts. the purex i am not sure about only that they have given me back a coupon once but I called ho about it, they would not let me use the 4 off for advil and took my coupons. but if you don't get it back at least it was a great deal for .99 cents

I hate to say it, but I think she may be right about the coupon. They coupon's say 'no cash value'...so if you returned it and got the $3.99 back, you would technically be getting cash for your coupon, and people would majorly be taking advantage of that I'm afraid...it sucks, you loose the coupon

I DO not know that for sure, but that's what makes sense to me!
As for the points, did you use any FPC's? because I've made that mistake and they brought the total below $50
Otherwise, if you had some high value coupons and she entered them incorrectly, or bottle deposit? it's frustrating

I've always gotten the full amount back (the item price - with the coupon discount) but I don't know if that is correct tbh.

Just came back From SDM here in Repentigny...had no problem using 2 coupons for Purex....and also use 3 printable coupons 1.00$ off Coppertone ( today only was at 6.99 )...
plus others things.....before tax was 50.48$....so got my 20X Optimum points....
Never had argue with any pharmacy here about using my coupons....I think they no me now and it's always a pleasant transaction !....
Sorry to read your story...hope will be okay next time !
Have a great day !

I think you should get the full amount back, cause the store will still send in the coupon and get an the $3.00 back plus they get their product back too.

You can bonus points and a coupon together.Today being a 20x point day I think you can't have both a bonus points coupon and a 20x bonus point promotion.

You get the full amount back. End of story. They are WRONG! lol. If they are not giving you your coupon back it is going in the pile with the rest of them and they will be getting that $3 dollars back. So if you return the product and they only give you .99 they are UP $3.
And you can MOST CERTAINLY use BP coupons and regular coupons.
How frustrating!!!!

I've gotten the full price back twice when I used coupons and was entitled to refunds. One was a SCOP on Motrin last week that I got my money back after the coupon went through and the other was a SCOP a few weeks ago on Philly cream cheese. Same thing....cashier wouldn't return my coupon or SCOP on an incorrect till price so I pd and went to Customer service. Both managers told me since they get the value of the coupon it's only fair I get it back in cash.
