Sobeys and Zellers brag

I took my FPCs I had for the stouffers items and redeemed them today with their points promo. I had to buy something to get my total over the $60 so I spent $1.59 and got 4236 in sobeys points. That is enough for about $25 in groceries and from the looks of my total I am pretty close to getting another $5.

Then I went over to zellers and used up my 18 vileda gloves $1 off coupons which made them almost free.

I can't imagine what my bills would be like if I didn't shop smart.

I took the stouffer one to Sobeys also for the promo, then I forgot to use my club sobeys card.

I asked for my points right after she finish the transaction and they told me I can't get them after the transaction has been completed.

I have sent an email out and we will see if I can get those points back.

Ofcourse you can get the points if you forgot to give the Sobeys Card...I've personally done it .

You have to go to the Customer Service Desk ( Not the Cashier ) & show them the receipt & they will do it for you .

In my case it was only 55 points after I walked out of the store I realised that I had forgotten to give my Club Sobeys Card so I went in again & Presented the card & receipt at the CS desk...the guy scanned my receipt then pulled out binder & scanned some bard code from the binder to give me the points .

I was told by my manager, the cashier and the cs desk lady that no points were given after a transaction was completed because "it costs the store money" I even called the club sobeys number and was told it was stores discretion. The day i purchased almost ALL my items had bonus points attached I was pretty upset!

I've done it before too. Maybe try another Sobey's location. It's just weird that they won't give you the points.

We had forgotten to use the 500 pts coupon last Saturday, went Sunday to get it fixed - and were told no, they weren't doing that anymore as of April 1.

That's weird...in my case it was on the same day so maybe they did it . Actually I just went out & came back in again so maybe it was 5-10 mins after the transaction .

They probably don't do it if you come back some other day .

If I were you I would have returned all the products or most of them ( in case some were used or eaten up hence not eligible for return ) & re-bought them on the spot to get the points .
