Another bad day for my guy, Jeff Burton. Seems he shows up at every race with a good car and then catches some bad karma....

I'm just listening to Jeff Gordon right now. He ain't happy about Jimmy isn't he? Not so sure I'd want to get my owner that steamed!

I'm looking forward to going there in October and seeing the carnage first hand.

I think I picked a good race to take a look-see!!

I forgot about this forum until late in the race. Now that I have caught up I have one question for Argo. I'm not picking on you or implying anything, I'm only basing this question on a comment you made. Do you know what a restrictor plate is, where it is located and what it does? I just want you to be as edjumacated as the rest. I'll tell you what the comment was you said that made me ask after you answer.

Didn't know what it was but the announcers kept referring to this as a restrictor race. That's the beauty of the internet in general and "google" in particular - you can find out what you need to know quite quickly!!

I'm sure if I'd asked about it, the boys would have answered, but thought I'd do some basic research first.

as much as i like my hendricks team, i must say that jj has been pulling off some inappropriate moves against his team mate & owner. he got his just desserts when he thought he had cleared bifle & instead took himself & bifle out. he ended up with a DNF. at least jeffie finished 22nd, but it dropped him from 5th to 10th. great finish for martin & jr.

I asked because you said it must be working because it was keeping the cars on the ground which I think you have gottened confused with the vent flaps that keep the cars from lifting off the track.

Jr should have done a lot better. That goes for last year also. I can't help but think that there is something eating away at him that he is not able to finish the race at the end in better position.

On NASCAR101 they might state that the restrictor slows them down thus keeping the chance of cars taking to the air is lessened..

Those cars will go air bourne at 130 so the restrictor plate isn't going to make a differance. Ask Kesolowski(?). Keeping them under 200 isn't slowing them down, is it now?
