Whatever you call those moments, we've all had at least one. No matter how educated you are, at some point you'll say something dumb, even if you just used the wrong word accidentally. Some of us just have more then others! It can make life very humorous! Let's share some of our favorite slip ups. I have a few, I'll start with this one:
I read to my kids a lot when they were young. Dinosaurs were one of their favorite subjects and we had a lot of dinosaur books. One day I said to the kids "Have you noticed all our dino books just have drawn pictures? Don't we have any with real pictures?"This thread is currently associated with: N/A"Never will you get a better psychological subject than a hungry cat" Dr. E. Thorndike

Hey, that should have made them think - and prompted great discussion! It's what's called 'a teachable moment'.
As for me, I've been having some anomic aphasia - with nouns (can't produce a word). Cracks up my son as he tried to give me multiple choices...

This was silly but I lol for so long after.
A co-worker of mine on the way to the washroom on 3 different days, I called out " Hi Debbie " as she entered the first time, ( no response, maybe she didn't hear me, no biggie ) and then day 2 " morning Debbie " when I saw her, Hmmm still said nothing back to me. Day 3 I walk up to her and say " hey Debbie, how is it going? "
She says " who's Debbie? " My name is Diane.
( one for each day of stoopidity.)
yes I am sooooo blonde!

Thanks Mrsb07, as always, you know how to tickle our funny bones here on sc!!

I have a funny story that my neighbor just told me, so its kind of HIS blonde moment, not mine. He is retired, very helpful, and an all around great guy. Lots of times when he is outside, people just stop to talk to him because he's funny, including the garbage men, maillady ect...
The neighbor went and bought her dog some cookies from walmart. They look like vanilla oreo with the cream inside with a big paw print embeded on top. She puts them on the counter, and for a few days notices that her husband is feeding alot of them to the dog. She askes him where all the cookies are going, and he says...
He sits outside every morning on the porch ( this was just before the mail strike) and eats the cookies himself. She says they are dog buiscuits!!! He said they are??? Oh no, Ive been sharing them with the maillady!! He had NO idea they were dog biscuits, and apparently the maillady had them a couple of times and liked them!! I saw them, and other than the paw print, they look like oreos. LOL He feels really bad about it, but still stands by the fact that they were good.!Do you want to buy and sell Bitcoin? I'm having a brain fart right now that I can't remember one of my own moments. But here's one of hubby's - we were stopped at a red light and I heard this loud beeping and I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. He looks at me and asks "haven't you ever heard of those street crossing light guides for the deaf?" I said "To do what? Give them back their hearing? It's loud enough! And don't you mean crossing guide for the blind?" Facepalm moment for him.

Haha, this reminds me:
I bought some chocolate mint dog treats for my chihuahua/beagle back when I in the US. My mum's bf lived with us at the time.
Anyway, he was always stealing my food, so I played a joke on him: I told him they were sooooo good, and then went to my room. Came out a bit later, and noticed some were missing..he'd eaten them!!

prego brain
7 months prego at Walmart and I thought I caught a pricing error on bananas.
bananas were .67 cents a kg and flyer was priced at .33 cents a pound.
I accosted a poor young cashier raising my voice telling her I wanted them for 33 cents a pound. The poor girl was trying to tell me that's what they were but I was determined to prove them wrong.
NOT one of my finer moments.
