I couldn't think of anything more special at the moment for my 500th post than my 16-year-old Green Cheeked Conure, Mukisa. She has been sick since September (something wrong with her pancreas) and she's had a 'bad day' today. She didn't eat much and slept most of the day. She's had days like this before, and then has been better the next day, so I pray that with the extra rest and extra med's I gave her today, that she will be much brighter in the morning!
I think I'll cuddle with her while I watch Lost - hopefully it recorded. But first, I'd better do some repping before I forget!

If you're a camping-type, you should go to Rondeau Provincial Park. They have nesting bald eagles there. At the right time of year (I think now would be great) you can see the nest because the foliage hasn't grown much yet. However, you can see them flying around anytime of year if you go to the right area of the park. Really cool.

Good Day (Evening?) to you all.
Thanks for all the words and reps. I think I've inherited Robyn's work karma and looks like I won't be of much help during the day for the next little bit ... then again, listening on-line only gets me a strong 6th anyway!!
Great news Stewy. Godspeed on his return!!
Thank you PSells for not noticing, but I couldn't remember exactly so hedged my bets and guessed he was Scandanavian!Courage is not the absence of fear but acting in spite of it.

Good Night Qsters! Thanks again for the reps, codes and winning words, and especially the funny and informative contributions!
Thanks for the reminder as to the significance of today's date (how could I forget?) so my rep quote for today was obviously:
"May the 4th be with you. Always."

Hi Everyone:
Buttertart: I sure hope Mukisa gets over her illness. Have you had her most of her life? Pretty Birdie! I'll hope for the best for her.
Believe it or not I just finished watching "Forrest Gump" with Tom Hanks. I did see it quite a few years ago but my daughter wanted to watch it so I ordered the DVD from the library. I actually cried at the end!
I think it was partly Jenny dying at the end (why couldn't they have lived together happily in the end!
and partly Amy looking so darn cute looking at me with one eye open lying on the couch above my head! Anyways, it is a pretty good movie..... Tomorrow is Iron Man 2 at the theatre with the tickets I won from the Mighty Q!

Sorry I'm so late, everyone, I stayed for the opening night party. I love standing in a corner, people watching.
Off to give the critters a midnight snack, before they get too upset (they can smell food on my breath, & it isn't the same smell as the dinner we shared, so I might be in a bit of trouble
).
Night all.
