Four Killed, 2 Injured in Collision on Highway 401

Four people are dead and two others are in serious condition following a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 401 in eastern Ontario. OPP say seven vehicles were involved in the westbound crash at about 1:25 a.m. northeast of Kingston, Ont. The vehicles included four tractor-trailers, a commercial truck and two passenger vehicles, one of which caught fire. Police say the four people who died were all in the vehicle that caught fire.

Toronto Zoo Closed After More Than 400 Workers Walk Off the Job

Picket lines are set up this morning outside the Toronto zoo. More than 400 employees have walked off the job to back their contract demands, closing the facility to the public as of this morning. The 400 workers include zookeepers, maintenance, administration, ride operators, public relations staff and concession workers. There are currently no talks scheduled and both sides have confirmed job security is the main issue.

Penguins Oust Capitals to Advance to East Final

Marc-Andre Fleury has the Pittsburgh Penguins one step closer to another Stanley Cup. Fleury stopped all 29 shots in a turn-back-the-clock performance to shut out the Washington Capitals 2-0 in Game 7 on Wednesday night, sending Pittsburgh to the Eastern Conference final to face the Ottawa Senators. Oilers lost to Anaheim, 2-1 in their game 7. Ottawa is the only Canadian team left.
