About 138,000 passengers to descend on Pearson as March break begins

It’s the last day before March Break and that means thousands of families are getting ready to head out on vacation. Well over 130,000 passengers are expected through the doors at Pearson Airport today -- one of the airports busiest travel days. Pearson tweeted out this morning that operations are running normally, however it's never a bad idea to double check your flight status before heading out and give yourself lots of extra time. Arriving at least 2 hours ahead of domestic flights and 3 hours prior if you’re heading to an international destination is recommended.

Court to hear application to extend Ontario PC leadership race

PC party members have until noon today to vote for a candidate in the leadership race but that may change. An application to extend voting by a week will be heard in court today as the Superior Court of Justice has agreed to hear the application for an injunction. It appears several party members still didn't get their verification codes needed to cast a ballot. The mutterer heads to court before 10am this morning.

Raptors go for 7th straight win against Rockets

The Raptors, who have already secured a spot in the playoffs, are going for their 7th straight win tonight. They’re hosting the Houston Rockets at Air Canada Centre at 7:30pm. With Wednesday night's 110-99 road win over Milwaukee, Houston have now won 17 games in a row and sit a full game ahead of the Warriors in the West with just 16 regular season games to play. There's a real chance the Western Conference Finals will go through Houston. The top in the East play the top in the West.

Just what is the Day of Unplugging? Well, it is no secret that we are increasingly connected to the world around us. Smartphones, tablets, WiFi access and the Internet have enabled us to be connected to the entire world 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every single day of the year. However, there are also times in our lives when we seem to forget just how necessary it is to step back from out digital devices and other gadgetry and actually perform the ancient art of speaking with people around us. Celebrating this day is quite simple. All that one is required to do is to disconnect from the virtual “matrix” which has come to define every waking moment of our lives.
