Thousands attend vigil for Toronto van attack victims

The site of Toronto’s deadly van attack was transformed into a place of mourning last night. Politicians and religious leaders joined tens of thousands of members of the community at the ''Toronto Strong'' vigil to honour the eight women and two men killed -- and the 16 others injured -- a week ago. There was also high praise for the first responders, including Constable Ken Lam, who was able to arrest the suspect without firing his gun. At last check, a city-organized fundraiser for the victims' families had raised more than 1.8-million dollars.

NDP Leader Andrea Horwath launches campaign at Hamilton event

NDP leader Andrea Horwath has officially launched what her party is promising will be the ``biggest campaign'' in its history. Their platform, released earlier this month, promises free child care for families earning less than 40-thousand dollars, and a boost to hospital budgets. Horwath was formally nominated as the New Democrat candidate in her riding of Hamilton Centre at an event yesterday. The June 7th provincial election will mark her third as leader of the NDP.

Raptors face LeBron in playoffs rematch

The Raptors have another date with LeBron. The Cavillers managed to get by the Pacers in Game 7 yesterday, securing them a spot in the second round where they will meet Dwayne Casey and company. Toronto will host Game 1 tomorrow night.

Splendid day today. I wish the weekend lasted a day or two longer.

If you don't mind, I have another video here of my son and I playing at the Band Jam last Thursday. It was the little girl's (in the video) song and her instructor was playing next to her. The instructor asked my son if we wanted to play along. So we learned this song in less than a week.
