CASH OR THE CAR
Every weekday at 7am, 11am and 5pm, we’ll play Cash or the Car!
Caller 7 at 416-870 ROCK or ROLL will instantly qualify to win a 2018 Hyundai Elantra GL, courtesy of Thornhill Hyundai! They will also be offered an envelope with a mystery amount of cash to voluntarily remove themselves from the grand prize draw for the Car.
The catch?
You won’t know the amount of cash until our announcer opens the envelope… which could be anywhere between $50 to $5,000!
So, what will it be? THE CASH or THE CAR?
You could take the cash, but if you’re brave enough to stay in it ‘till the end, you could win yourself a 2018 Hyundai Elantra GL courtesy of Thornhill Hyundai.
Morning Q sters,
It's the most wonderful time of the year. It's back to school/work time. Take care going to work, if you go thru school zones. I don't like that the school buses are back. Have to time my leaving time to try & avoid them.
Have a great day.

Back to school
The summer of 2018 is in the books. Students head back to class this morning and with that drivers are being reminded to slow down.
Police are reminding drivers they will be out in full force in school zones all week. They'll be looking for speeders, those who park where they are not supposed and distracted drivers.
Summer vacation may be done but the heat and the humidity is not. The high will be 28 degress but it will feel more like 36 with the humidity today. We’ll also flirt with 40 degrees tomorrow before things really cool off ahead of the weekend.
Did you know?
The average family spends $700 in school supplies every year, adding up to $80 billion in annual sales!
Ontario parents divided over repeal of sex-ed curriculum: poll
As students head back to class, one teachers union is planning to outline its next steps to contest the Ontario Government’s repeal of the sex-education curriculum. The province has warned teachers not to use the modernized version, which was tabled by the Liberals three years ago.
The president of the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario has slammed the provinces decision as a blatant attack on the professional judgement of teachers. The union is set to hold a news conference at 10:30am this morning.
A new poll conducted for Global News finds that even though parents are divided on the most recent version being repealed, a strong majority of those surveyed endorse the content being taught.
The poll, which surveyed 500 parents across Ontario, found 50% of them said they were OK with the 1998 curriculum being taught with 48% believing it does “a good job” of addressing current issues.
