Summer weather continues in September
The fall is lurking but the heat isn't going anywhere quite yet. It’s shaping up to be a scorcher in the city with the potential to be a record setting day. The hottest September 5th on record dates back to 1945 when the temperature hit 31.7 degrees.
Before you complain too much, keep in mind that on this day back in 1935 the mercury only managed to get to plus 3.

$75 'mobile payment notice' for illegally parking at Pearson
You might want to think twice about parking illegally, while waiting to pick somebody up out at Pearson Airport. Starting today, enforcement officials at the airport will begin issuing mobile payment notices to cars waiting for arriving passengers on the busy roadsides around the terminals. Two cars equipped with cameras are now roaming around the terminals taking pictures of the license plates of vehicles illegally parked. Anyone caught will be sent a $75 "mobile payment notice" in the mail.
Vehicles can still pick up and drop off passengers curbside at terminals but the idea now will be for drivers to use one of the airport's two cell phone parking lots, about a five minute drive from the airport terminals, in a bid to keep traffic moving.
Former Blue Jays pitcher Roberto Osuna sex assault case back in court
Former Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Roberto Osuna's assault case is scheduled to return to court today. The 23-year-old was arrested in May and charged in connection with an alleged domestic incident.
Osuna was suspended without pay for 75 games in June for violating Major League Baseball's domestic violence policy, and the Jays later traded him to the Houston Astros. Osuna's lawyer, Domenic Basile, has said his client is remorseful of the circumstances of the situation but plans to plead not guilty.
Today is...
Are you one of those people who’s incredibly punctual? Are you enslaved to the clock and counting every minute? What’s wrong with you? You don’t need to be on time everywhere you go, you need to stop and smell the roses once in a while.
Be Late For Something Day reminds us that sometimes, just sometimes, it’s ok to let things slide and not quite be on time.
Good morning fellow Canucks!

"Forecasts said the city might hit a high of 32 C, but the mercury topped 33.9 C at Pearson International Airport by mid-afternoon. With the humidity, it felt like it was in the low 40s. The scorching temperatures beat a 73-year-old record for Sept. 5, set back in 1945 when Toronto hit 31.7 C."
Happy Friday Jr, Q sters,
The heat wave has broken again. A nice day out & you can turn off the AC & open the windows this weekend, when temps reach a high of 19. After this weather, i'll be bringing out the winter jacket. Will have to get climatized to it. :P
