Rotating Canada Post strikes hit Sherbrooke, Calgary and Kelowna
Canada Post employees will continue rotating walkouts this morning. In total, three cities will feel the effects: Sherbrooke, Quebec, Calgary and Kelowna, B.C.
The good news is that here in the GTA the strike has ended after a two day work stoppage forced the closure of the crown corporation's biggest sorting plants, delaying shipments of tens of thousands of letters and parcels nationwide.

NYPD investigate suspicious package found at building linked to Robert De Niro
The New York police are investigating a suspicious package found at a non-residential building in Lower Manhattan, home to businesses associated with actor Robert De Niro. The suspicious package was reportedly found Thursday morning in the Tribeca area on Greenwich Street, according to PIX11 News.
CNN reported it’s unclear if the package is similar to the ones sent to CNN, Hillary Clinton and former President Barack Obama yesterday.
Leafs bounce back to beat Jets
Nazem Kadri's first goal of the season stood up as the winner as the Toronto Maple Leafs beat the Winnipeg Jets 4-2 on Wednesday. Kasperi Kapanen, Tyler Ennis and John Tavares also scored for the Maple Leafs, who host Winnipeg Saturday.

I never really got into punk rock, but I did like The Clash back in those days. My girlfriend at the time and myself were both into Rock, like Def Leppard and that sort of thing. We both had lots of hair too! But one day she dyed her hair green and put a safety pin through her nose. Just like that, we had a "clash of music". We drifted apart.
These days, stuff like that doesn't matter. My 14 year old son dyes his hair, and I don't even think about it. But back in the 80's it was a big deal to me. It was sort of like that movie, Quadrophenia, where it was the Rockers vs. the Mods.
Well folks, my son and I will be performing at Spot One again tonight. We will be doing a Santana song. Last night I was volentold that I had to learn another Santana song, so I had about an hour last night and will have about a half hour tonight to learn that song. If the songs turn out half decent, I'll post it/them here afterwards.

Charlie Montoyo named 13th Blue Jays manager The Toronto Blue Jays today announced Charlie Montoyo has been named the 13th manager in club history, agreeing to a three-year contract through the 2021 season with a team option for 2022. The Blue Jays will introduce Montoyo during a press conference on Monday, October 29 at Rogers Centre.
Montoyo, 53, spent the 2018 season as Bench Coach for the Tampa Bay Rays. Prior to that, he spent three seasons as the club's third base coach after an 18-year stretch managing Minor League teams within the Rays organization. The native of Manatí, Puerto Rico, was inducted into the International League Hall of Fame in 2016 after posting a 633-515 (.551) record over eight seasons as Manager of the Triple-A Durham Bulls, which included seven International League South Division Titles, six International League finals appearances, and two Governors' Cup championships (2009 & 2013).
