    Why does it seem like cats will laze around and sleep all day and then decide at 3am to run around the house like it's on fire? Cats are Nocturnal but are also Crepuscular; defined as "appearing or active in twilight" In nature, a cat's prey is typically awake at dusk and at dawn, so it's natural instinct for Patches to get out there and hunt for it. But, why do they insist on using your face as their perch though?

    Way back in the day (before my time anyway) it was common to say "Happy Christmas".
    But in his story "A Christmas Carol" Dickens repeats the phrase "Merry Christmas" throughout. When the novella became successful, the phrase "Merry Christmas" was said more and more and became the standard Christmas greeting.

    have you gone to 'machine gun america' yet? they do birthday parties, bachelor and bridal parties there. very festive. it's a whole different way of life down there.
