oh crap i've missed a ton of my q friends sorry
god darn life part of which is this dang thing

so yesterday after putting the kettle on for tea
i let the madcat out, walked through the livingroom
and saw a red streak to the front scrubbries.
by the time (10 seconds?) i got to the door- i'd lost my slippiers.
saw maddy and the fox with maybe 10 feet between them.
door open i'm yelling no maddy no - the other 2 cats show up
(i am not a crazy cat lady,,, i am not a crazy cat,,,)

was shaking cat treats bag out the door while i got the darn
boots on (thought socks in the mud - not a good idea).

fox looking not so pretty now, and maddy between me and
the used to be pretty fox.
should mention maddy does not like to be touched, had her here
since she was a kitten - the most affection one would get if you
were lucky would be she may rub your leg while you feed her.

grabbed wooden broom, still yelling no,, no,,, thumped it
on the step which echos in this crescent
fox licked it's lips, good god.

realized my doing the shaking of the treats thumping and yelling
was getting the darn madcat more upset and the fox
took a few steps toward us --- anyway this sort of thing
    kept up for a while
so got close enough and still saying no no etc.
took my life into my hands and maddy's too maybe
grabbed her up and got her into the house.

gave treats to a kitty that was hard to recognize
fur so puffed up, and talked to her for a bit.

then thought i have to scare the darn fox away
    as tsh had said.
fox was now sitting on sidewalk and i'm not scaring
s/he at all - yelling making a ton of noise.

fox walked on the sidewalk to 2 doors away, and up
    their driveway.

so now i'm trapped inside with a cat that always goes
    out
(saved her from becoming a wild cat mother as her father
    was ---- help,,,,

oh not mentioning the other 2 cats,
i am not a crazy cat lady,,,,
if you have some spare time

    Afternoon.

Oggie is off to the vet tomorrow morning - just a meet and greet to introduce him to the clinic, docs and staff before we have to do anything major (yes, gentlemen, you should all be crossing your legs right about now ......).

I'm also going to inquire about removing his rear dewclaws. I'm not familiar with these little devils as rear dewclaws are not normally a Golden trait. From the little I've been exposed, I have to believe these suckers are accidents waiting to happen. I thought the doc might be able to do both procedures at the same time (figure he'll be so pre-occupied he won't even notice his rear dewclaws gone).

Anyway, I was doing a little research on rear dewclaws and breeds that typically have them and I came across a pup that was the spitting image of Oggie. Oggie's dad is a golden and his mom was reported to be a golden/collie x. But the photo was a golden/great pyrenees x. But I'm not worried at all - both collie and pyrenees have similar characteristics. They are both loving and lovingly guarding type of companions.

However, the wild card may the size difference between the two! It's really tough to tell at 4.5 mths what a mixed breed pup will eventually morph into but either way, I think my "large dog" preference has been satisfied!!

But, if he does have some Pyrenees in him, I'll have to land a job soon just to keep the "little fellow" in doggie kibble!!
Courage is not the absence of fear but acting in spite of it.
