Spent all day at the Zoo with the Grandkids, and a zoo it was, especially in the splash park. Should have brought our bathing suits as we got to roast in the sun for a couple of hours while the Grandkids had a ball
Back at home now. The first beer went down in a hurry!

This human is an idiot. Both Quincy & I managed to get a touch of sunstroke (didn't realize how strong the sun was!). The vets treated both of us at Woofstock (Q was a better patient than me
).
We're both home & fine (I'm tired & Q's beating up poor Lily whenever she tries to check out the treats we got).
Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine.

What a Glorious Afternoon!!!!
I seemed to be constantly at the Grill... Burgers, Hot Dogs (*insert Joke here*), pounds and Pounds of Chicken Wings.
Nothing like Good Friends, Good Food and Great Weather!!!!
There was a Lady who came over to ask if anyone could help get into her car.
She locked her keys in the car.
This Poor Lady started her car to cool it down with the A/C for her Pooch.
Her car has a Feature that LOCKS the Doors after a short time, and everything was left inside... including her Spare Key.
Distracted by talking to someone, she closed the door... and she did not know about this Feature.
The car was running, too.
Rather than let her smash a small back door window, I called CAA for her.
In half an hour, she was on her way.
Karma w*rks both ways, so I could not turn away someone in Need when I had the Means to Help.
My Spirit is Soaring.
*...but that could be from all of the Meat.*

Nope, neither of us had to have our temperature taken (not sure which of us would have been the more unpleasant patient!
). But...we both got water dumped on our heads (couldn't let Q be the only one with a lousy hairstyle
). He's back to normal, perfectly fine.
Think it might have to be an extra early night, I'm exhausted (Q, of course, is raring to play, Lily is not sure whether he's safe to play with or in one of those smack-the-dog moods).
Night all.

Speaking of Woofstock though, it was fun - I love seeing all the cute doggies out there and as a side note I did get quite a bit of stuff for my puddies - the Royal Canin tins were really coming Daisy and Amy's way today!!!

Lunch with Buffett auctioned for $3.46M
By Reuters

A typical lunch at a high-end Manhattan steakhouse for nine people might run $1,000 or so, but when Warren Buffett is the guest of honor the price can rise to $3.46 million.

That is how much an as-yet unknown bidder paid in the annual online charity auction for the right to lunch with the “Oracle of Omaha” and seven friends at the Smith & Wollensky steakhouse in Manhattan.
The proceeds were up compared to last year, when fund manager Ted Weschler bid $2.63 million to have lunch with Buffett. The 81-year-old Nebraska billionaire ended up hiring Weschler last September to be an investment manager at Berkshire Hathaway.
A total of 10 bidders entered 106 bids over the five-day auction that ended on Friday evening, much stronger than last year when just two people made a total of eight bids. The winning offer was exactly $3,456,789.
The previous 12 auctions raised more than $11.5 million for the San Francisco-based charity GLIDE, which sponsors a variety of programs for the disadvantaged, from meals for the needy and housing to community clinics. Buffett was introduced to GLIDE via his late first wife Susan
