Hope everyone enjoyed their day.

I was a bit disappointed with the closing ceremonies. I expected a few more singers to be there (Phil Collins, Sting, Elton John, to name a few). & I would have thought it fitting to let the Rolling Stones in style.

& with London`s reputation for theatre, I would have expected a better tribute than Stomp & a mediocre rendition of a so-so Andrew Lloyd Webber song by Russell Brand. Yikes!

& the Spice Girls? Seriously? Am I the only one who wanted to tell them what I want, what I really really want.

Ah, well, gotta wait 1.5 yrs for the next Olympic ceremonies.


Better get going. I can`t wait til tomorrow. I`m meeting up with an SCer for the first time (we`ve been chatting for 2 yrs, but have never met). Can`t wait.

just spoke to the lady with the cottage we are renting for Tues and Wed. so it is confirmed.....was getting a little worried as I hadn't got a hold of her....anyways, that's taken care of....just need the weather....gotta stay tomorrow and play a game, we better keep up our winning streak or I'll be very disappointed...wish me luck!

i do understand your rant, the Spice Girls!?? they are so not cool. my rodent loved them when she was little. it was a weird phase that rodents go thru till they actually hear the good music. thank god she's over that phase. at least they got the Who, well half of them any ways.
