- I see McSkier is back from her holiday as well. She sent me a picture of herself on her last holdiay that she said was one of the best ever. Snow & lots of it as far as the eye can see. She was the only one out on the streets & I've heard she could be heard singing for miles around.

Wow - what a first class feast you had. I'm hungry all over again now!

as far as leftover went, there was some turkey leftover for sandwiches. everything else was finished up. i guess we all realized from previous Thanksgivings, we use to have too much leftover & you got sick & tired of having to finish it. this year we all made just enough for the meal so we can all enjoy it again at Christmas.
hoping Andit's cranberry relish turned out to be a hit. it sounded yummy when she told me about it. might steal, a i mean borrow the recipe for Christmas.

Good morning Q folks. Yay, turkey day for me!

So sorry to hear of the loss of Bender Karl.

Jester, those are some fantastic pictures of your trip. Thanks for sharing them.

evening Q sters,
just home from Mom's where we all gathered for dinner. my SIL brought the appetizers, little calabrese sandwichs with cheese, pear & balsamic vinegar, roasted peppers & goat cheese & fig with brie. all were delicious. Mom made the turkey with stuffing, green beans & a small batch of rice potatoes from my brother. i had made sweet potatoes with sour cream, balsamic vinegar & topped with cinnamon. my sister made apple crumble tarts & pumpkin tiramisu for dessert. apparently next year we are taking about heading up to the north part of Lake Huron for a camping/trailer Thanksgiving weekend. hopefully the weather will be more like last year, instead of this year. don't know how big the turkey Mom had, but there was leftovers in that, but everything else was polished off.
i hope everyone had a great turkey day filled with family & friends & if your celebrating it tomorrow, may you enjoy a fabulous day.

Dinner last night was a success (although the bird was cooked way too early for me...) I've been having some problems with my oven lately so I try to regulate the temperature with an oven thermometer rather than the setting on the actual oven. It was ready by 2:30 and we weren't ready to eat until 5:30.... It was ok though... I took it out at 2:30 and let it rest until 3:00.... I put it back into the oven at 3:00 very low until we were ready to carve and it was great.... It didn't dry out!!

I had to split the bones into two pots to make soup.... they wouldn't fit into one!!!
