    Good luck for the phone call for Chicago in Chicago...
    I would love to go....

    I am off work until Monday am.... I sent my boss an email
    then scanned my Dr's note, and sent it to him.
    He rarely answers emails like this, so I know no news is good news.

    The teacher gave her fifth grade class an assignment:
    Get their parents to tell them a story with a moral at the end of it.
    The next day, the kids came back and, one by one, began
    to tell their stories.

    There were all the regular types of stuff:
    Spilled milk and pennies saved.
    Suddenly the teacher realized, much to her dismay, that
    only Janie was left.

    "Janie, do you have a story to share?"

    'Yes ma'am. My daddy told me a story about my Mommy.
    She was a Marine pilot in Desert Storm, and her plane got hit.
    She had to bail out over enemy territory, and all she had was
    a flask of whiskey, a pistol, and a survival knife.
    She drank the whiskey on the way down so the bottle wouldn't break,
    and then her parachute landed her right in the middle of 20 Iraqi troops.
    She shot 15 of them with the pistol, until she ran out of bullets, killed four
    more with the knife, till the blade broke, and then she killed the last Iraqi
    with her bare hands."

    ''Good Heavens," said the horrified teacher.
    "What did your Daddy tell you was the moral to this horrible story?"

    "Don't f**k with Mommy when she's been drinking."

    Normally if something goes wrong on those types of bulletins, I don't care. But after one particularly bad stretch last year of receiving bulletin after bulletin of so NOT breaking news, I lost it when I got the next one. It was clearly in error and meant for an internal distribution list: "Congratulations: Sue Just Learned How to Send Breaking News Bulletins".

    I couldn't help myself. My fingers were typing faster than my brain could kick-in - I wrote back saying I think Sue needs more training.

    They actually answered me and apologized. If felt kinda bad for being a smartass.

    Hi All! Been chillin in the library for a bit since I can't chill too well at my place. I'm leaving now to go home and barbe dinner and then head out to the first night of the streetfest!
